“I can’t wait.” Carter smiled.

Gabriel met Grayson and me in my suite. I poured us each a scotch and sat down on the couch.

“I can’t believe both of my brothers are getting married,” Grayson said. “Are you and Zoey going on a honeymoon?”

“We talked about it, and we’re waiting until after the reception.”

“Any idea where you want to go?” Gabriel asked.

“Not yet.”

“If you want to move up the honeymoon, you can always come with Piper and me to Bali.”

“As tempting as that sounds, Zoey wants to wait a while because of the bakery, which I don’t blame her with it just opening.”

“Yeah, I get that,” Grayson said.

“Well, you two better get some sleep.” Gabriel finished his scotch and set the glass down. “You have a big day tomorrow, brother.”

“And yours is coming just as fast.” I grinned.

“I know. I can’t wait. I’ll see you guys in the morning. Oh, by the way. You did book Riley her own room, right?”

“Yeah. She’s sharing a room with Lily and Ella.”

“Thank you.” He grinned. “I appreciate it.”

Grayson pulled out the bed hidden in the couch.

“Night, bro.”

“Night, my brother.” I walked into the bedroom, shut the door, and climbed into bed.

As I lay there, I thought about the vows I would say to Zoey tomorrow at our wedding. I wouldn’t write anything down because I wanted to say everything straight from my heart. My entire life changed in the blink of an eye. A little over a year ago, I was pretty much on death’s door. Now, I was healthy and surrounded by family, who I loved more than anything. I met the love of my life who, come tomorrow, will become my wife and a baby on the way. I would say I was the luckiest guy in the world. I called my Auntie Fran and told her about the wedding and the baby. Unfortunately, she was unable to attend due to her work schedule and the short notice. But she said she’d definitely attend our wedding reception back home.

CHAPTER 36

Carter

The guys and I were in my suite, dressed in our tuxedos, when there was a knock at the door.

“I’ll get it,” Jackson said.

“Jackson, darling,” I heard Aunt Barb’s voice. I looked at Shaun, and he winked at me.

“Mom! What are you doing here?” Simon asked as he walked into the living area from the bathroom.

“I came to Carter’s wedding, silly.” She walked over to him and straightened his bowtie.

“When did you get here?”

“A couple of hours ago. Riley, Lily, and Ella are with the girls. This makes my heart so happy, Carter.” She took hold of my hands. “After Gabriel marries Piper, all of my boys will be married. Your fathers would be so proud.” She kissed my cheek. “I’ll see you boys in the courtyard. Keep them in line, Curtis.” She patted his chest before leaving the suite.

“Really, cousin?” Simon cocked his head at me.

“Oh, come on.” I hooked my arm around him. “You know damn well I couldn’t get married without her being here.”
