“It’s made with fresh pineapple.”

“Smart ass.” I chuckled. “I can honestly say I think I made the right decision to invest in Baked With Love. This has to be the best damn cupcake I’ve ever had.”

“Thanks, Carter. That means a lot.” She smiled as she reached up and kissed my lips.

My phone pinged, and when I checked it, there was a text from Shaun.

“All of us just pulled into the lot.”

“Great. Thanks for letting me know.”

“They’re all here. Let’s get up on the deck,” I said as I grabbed her hand.

“I can’t wait to see the look on your brother’s faces.”

“Neither can I.”

Zoey and I stood on the deck. Looking down the marina, I saw my family heading toward the boats.

“Bro, what the fuck are you doing? Wrong boat.” Grayson laughed.

“Nah. You two get your asses up here.”

“What is going on?” Gabriel asked as he and Grayson stepped on the boat.

“Welcome to the Brothers Kind. Happy birthday.”

“What?” Grayson cocked his head.

“Are you saying what I think you are?” Gabriel asked.

“Yep. This boat is your birthday gift and all ours.” I held out my arms.

“What the fuck!” Grayson clasped his head.

“Thank you, Carter.” Gabriel hugged me tight. “I don’t know what to say.”

“After everything you and Grayson have done for me, this is the least I could do.”

“Have I told you how much I love you?” Grayson grabbed and hugged me.

“I love you too, bro. Happy birthday.”

“Let’s get the other boats ready, and we’ll meet you on the water.” Shaun winked.

“Uncle Carter, I love you so much.” Riley hugged me.

“I love you too, sweetheart.”

I looked over at Zoey, who was talking to Piper and Ava.

“I’m going to show the girls around,” Zoey said.

I lightly grabbed her arm and pulled her to the side.

“The girls didn’t seem overly excited. It’s almost as if they already knew about the boat.”

“You think? I don’t know how they would.”
