“Well, that doesn’t have to be the last time, does it?” I murmur. “We can do that again, don’t you think?”
“Oh, for sure.” He nods vigorously, holding out my panties for me. “We willdefinitelydo that again.”
I hurriedly pull my panties up and smooth my clothing and hair down as much as I can. I don’t know how much of a mess I look right now. I need a moment to get myself together before I eventhinkabout facing anyone again. Instigating this in the middle of the day probably wasn’t my wisest idea, but I just got caught up in the heat of the moment. I knew that I wanted him there and then and I decided to be confident and go for it. As long as I can straighten myself out, I won’t have regrets.
“There is a bathroom in here, you know?” Finn grins at me. “If you want a moment alone, that is. We can’t have a conference room without a bathroom attached because sometimes these meetings can go on endlessly for hours.”
“Yeah, that would be awesome. I just want to make myself look… a little more normal. A lot less of a mess, you know.”
“You look beautiful,” he tells me seriously. “But you take as long as you want. I’m going to head to my office and act all natural, as if nothing is going on.” He chuckles, a sound that I find delightful. “We want to keep this a secret, don’t we? But don’t you worry about anything. You take as long as you want. I’m not going to expect you back at your desk any time soon.”
He leans in and kisses me softly, romantically, making my stomach flip-flop and my heart sing with glee. I love the feel of his plump lips on mine, his hands on my hips. It feels likewe’re connected on yet another level. It pulls us deeper into one another.
He shows me to the bathroom and vanishes from the conference room, leaving me alone with only my thoughts for company. I touch my cheek to feel a smile stretching across my face like I have a coat hanger between my lips. I feel nothing but positivity after having sex, which is amazing. I know so many people who have had pretty disappointing and horrible first times, leaving them full of regret. I’m definitely not in that position. I just feel good about everything.
I head into the bathroom, glad to be in this private room so I can be alone and get myself sorted. I get myself tidied up and ready to face the work force again… well, in a minute. I might as well take advantage of this time alone. Finn did say that he isn’t expecting me back at my desk any time soon, so I can just chill out for a moment and exist in this bliss. And it really is blissful, so wonderful that I can slide my eyes closed and imagine Finn and me really living out a happily ever after.
Bleep, bleep.
My cell phone distracts me from the wonderful fantasy, but since I’m pretty sure that it’s only going to be Finn sending me a sweet message, I don’t mind. I grab it eagerly and open up the message as quickly as I can.
Dad:Hi, sweetie. I just wanted to message to say have a good day because I didn’t see you this morning. See you at dinner x
The words make my heart sink because they remind me of all the reasons I can’t get lost in the happily ever after fantasies. My father won’t let me continue a relationship with his friend. There’s nowayhe will approve of me and Finn. He’ll shatter usapart and make us break up, which will crash my heart into a million pieces.
I need to remember that this is only a short-term thing. Finn is my teacher, just showing me the physical ways of love so when I finally fall for someone, I know what to do, I know how to be the best lover ever. That’s all this is. That’s all it can be.

FINN
As soon as I see the email and the business meeting is officially organized, I know what I need to do. I don’t even need to think twice about it, never mind work out whether I’m doing the right thing or not because I know… I justknow. We have been far too busy over the last few weeks to spend as much time together as I would like, especially since I don’t know how long this fling will last. I’m going to invite her to come with me. Weneedsome more time to just be us, and this is perfect for it.
In a place that isn’t home, where we don’t need to sneak around very much, where we can just enjoy one another without pressure. If there’s any way in which we’re going to get our addiction to one another out of our system, it’s this.
“Stella,” I call out to where she’s sitting just outside my office. “Do you have a moment? I need to talk to you.”
She bustles and gathers herself up right before heading into the office to join me. I can tell by the seriousness of her facial expression that she thinks this is work related. I wonder how she’ll react when she realizes that it’s half work, half personal.
“Take a seat.” I smile as she does. It’s honestly amazing to me every single day how we just manage to keep this under wraps, I think. I thought that our having sex in the conference room would have tongues wagging, but it seems that no one noticed. “Stella, I have a business meeting inter-state which I will be attending at the end of the week.”
“I see.” Her face falls. I know that she’s thinking about how much she’s going to miss me, which makes me grin. Even when we’re madly busy and don’t have nearly enough time together, she still has a lot of feelings for me. “So, you need things rearranged? Any meetings in particular that you would like me to set up at any specific times? Cancel anything completely?”
“Well… yes, I will sort all of that out with you in a moment, but actually, what I want to ask you is if you will come with me.”
Stella takes a second for this to sink in. “You want me to come on the business trip with you? Are you for real?”
“I would love for you to come on the business trip with me. I think it will be a good learning experience for you.”
I hope she can read between the lines to see that I mean that in both ways. Judging by the way her cheeks stain pink and she smirks gleefully at me, she gets it. She really gets it. “Ooh, yeah, that would be lovely. I would love that. I mean, as you know, I would love to learn as much as possible. Anything my teacher is willing to show me, I am here for it.”
She waggles her eyebrows suggestively, which makes my pulse stop. Or speed up, I can’t quite tell. Either way, I’m all kinds of excitable for what’s about to come. I’m looking forward to where this business meeting will take us. It’s going to be a pivotalturning point for our fling, that’s for sure. Whether it’s us getting it out of our system or… well, something more.
“Right, well, I'd better get back to work,” she declares with a smile. “You just let me know where you need me to be and when.”
Ooh, that’s so suggestive. On the surface of it, she’s talking to me about this business trip, but it invokes images for me of her on her hands and knees, being taken from behind, or with her lips wrapped around me, or sitting on my lap…
I need to shut those feelings off before they get the better of me. Before I lock this office door and take her over my desk. If we’re going on this business trip together, then we’re going to have plenty of time to do whatever we want.
