I try to get up, but the impact and sound of my rumbling belly forces me to sit back down.

Why on earth did I refuse to eat when he offered to order dinner last night?

I won’t make it to the office alive today.

I force myself on my feet and slowly walk over to the kitchen. With every step, I can hear the sound of giggling.

Women?

Jayden is really showing off and showing out, isn't he now?

There are in fact two women in his kitchen giggling over coffee.

He definitely has a type.

“Who are you?” the first one to spot me asks before the other one notices my presence.

“Probably his new thing,” the second one replies before I can say a word, and they burst out laughing.

They leave their cups of coffee and walk toward me, each one looking at me in scrutiny.

“You’re not his usual type, but word of advice, it’s never serious with Jayden, okay?” the second one says again, bringing her face a little too close to mine.

“Tell him we said hi,” the first one says as they giggle and walk away, hand in hand.

I'm working for a chronic womanizer.

At this point, Jayden needs to learn to keep it in his pants. What the hell is wrong with him anyway?

One minute, he’s Captain America at the office, and the next, he’s chasing after everything in a skirt.

Has he no shame or dignity?

For a moment, I fell for his charm and the way he carried himself at the office.

But now, he’s just like every other average guy in Nevada.

My belly rumbles loudly now, reminding me that I have a problem of mine that needs to be solved before thinking about Jayden.

I rummage through the kitchen cabinets and end up having two bowls of cereal.

I don’t want to make breakfast and risk waking Jayden up with the aroma. Besides, he doesn't deserve breakfast after I had to see those girls here first thing in the morning.

I can hate him all I want for how he treats me, but maybe I’m a little jealous.

I can’t deny the fact that I still think about him when I know I shouldn't.

With a man like Jayden, it's very easy to fall for his charms. Especially if you’ve had a taste of his strong arms and masculine strength.

His unpredictable demeanor makes him even shinier candy to the eyes.

As I gulp down a glass of water, I hear him clear his throat behind me.

“Good morning,” I mutter, avoiding his eyes.

“Why are you still here?” he asks and proceeds to make himself a cup of coffee.

“I was just on my way out. I need to get home for fresh clothes,” I reply.
