We need to have a long talk about what our next move is with The Aces. I want out from under them. I refuse to be their puppet any longer. It’s almost time for us to show our cards. My phone pings and I reach into my pocket, removing it. Spade’s pings as well. Then, Jameson’s moments later. It can only be The Aces.
Father: The stunt you all pulled tonight will have deadly consequences.
You are to meet on Friday at the docks. Nine PM sharp. Bring the girl.
I look at my brothers, who both have tortuous faces. Jameson looks like he’s about to rage out, which means he will need blood.Fuck.
“When we get to the safe-house, we need to talk. I know we all got the same message and we need to figure out our next move, because there is no way I’m doing what they asked!” I growl.
“Agreed,” Jameson said through gritted teeth.
“Yep, I’m with you guys. I’ll die before I bring her with us,” Spade states.
“Bring me where?” Jade asks.
“To The Aces,” We say in unison. She nods, leaning her head against Jameson’s shoulder.
What a fucked up night. I didn’t think my night would play out like this. I just wanted my girl back, and here we are. Hiding out at the safe-house after having a shootout at the hospital to save Jameson.Fuck, they weren’t supposed to find out it was us, hence the masks. Why do I feel there is a rat in our ranks, or did we miss something?
Glancing in the rear-view mirror, Jade is straddling Jameson; her top is off, and she’s shoving his face between her tits.Why must I be the one driving?I look over at Spade, who looks like he’s seconds away from climbing in the back seat with them. He catches my eye, and I shake my head, whispering. “Let them have their moment.” He nods. I let him know we are almost there. I try extremely hard not to keep glancing at the backseat, but Jade’s moans has my dick yearning to be released.
“If you two don’t cut it out back there, I’m going to pull over,” I grunt.
“Don’t threaten me with a good time, Daddy,” She replies, and I groan.
“We have five minutes until we are there,” Spade says.
I make the last turn before approaching the gates. I enter the code and continue down the gravel driveway. The entire property is gated and riddled with cameras. Triple-A would love it out here. We pull up to the front of the large farm-style house. It’s nothing fancy like Jade’s house, but it has a wrap-around porch with rocking chairs and planters filled with flowers. In the backyard is a man-made pond we built. I’m unsure how long we can stay without others becoming suspicious, and I know she’s meeting with O’Patrick on Friday. But hopefully, after a shower, we can figure out a game plan. I wish we could forget about everything and stay here forever. Between us all, we haveenough money to survive. We need this. We need to get out before one of us, if not all of us, including Jade, ends up dead.

We arrived at the safe house a bit ago. The boys went off to talk, and I was standing in the shower, finally able to breathe a little. What a cluster fuck it’s been. The water pelts against my skin, and I soak it in.I need this rainfall shower head for my bathroom. I hope the guys have extra clothes here because I didn’t think to pack any, and I’m not spending however long in this house naked! Plus, it gives me a chance to steal their clothes. Lathering my body, I feel hands wrapped around me. Looking down at the arms, I see no tattoos.Jamie.He takes the loofah from my hand and continues where I left off. He doesn’t say a word; he washes me. It’s gentle and loving. I step back into his body, and he stills.
“Jamie?”
“Princess, shh, just let me have this moment with you.”
“But, we can have more than just a moment; no one is here, no one can bother us. It’s just us.” I spin around to look into his piercing blue eyes.
“No, Jade. You don’t understand! I’m a monster incapable of love, incapable of giving you what you want and need. Everything I touch dies. I can’t do that to you!” he says, holding my face. I lick my lips, pulling him closer to me, and I whisper,
“You’re my monster, and I don’t want to change you! I accept you for who you are.” he pulls away, shaking his head.
“You don’t know me, you know nothing about me, you don’t know what I’m capable of! The monster that I am is what my father created. I’ve done things I cannot come back from, and I don’t regret them either. You shouldn’t want me; you shouldn’t want any of us! We are all monsters, and we will kill you in the end, even if it’s not on purpose”.—He smacks himself on the head. “You should have killed me when you had the chance!” and with that, he leaves me in the shower, alone and stunned by his words.
I’m not this innocent little girl; I’m a killer just as much as they are. I’ve seen and lived through shit that others haven’t. This is the price we pay for being stuck in this life. All the trauma, all the bullshit. Everything has a fucking price. It’s what we do with it in the end that matters.
Later that night, I’m laying in bed tossing and turning; I can’t shut my mind off. Jameson‘s words repeating. It’s not anyone’s decision but mine whether I want them in my life. No one gets to make that decision for me. The door suddenly creeks open, shining a dim light into the room. I roll over, facing away from the door, hearing a sigh as I turn. The blankets are lifted, and a warm body slides against my naked skin. Strong arms wrap around my waist, pulling me closer to their body. I melt against him, inhaling his scent ofwoodsy, vanilla, and weed–Spade.
“Babygirl, it’s a sin, that you’re in this bed naked and alone,” He whispers in my ear while his fingers tweak a nipple. I push back into him.This fucker knows how to get me all hot and bothered with just one flick.
“Well, you can blame your fucking friend for that one! You all could have been balls deep inside me tonight but your boy had to open his fucking mouth, making decisions for all of us! So here I lay naked and alone because of him.” I huff in annoyance. He pulls me closer.
