...

After Alexander and I had made love, we cleaned up the kitchen, did the dishes, and then made love a second time. We took a shower together and got dressed. He wore his suit again, except the jacket, and I slipped into a baggy t-shirt.

"I'm going to miss you," I told him. We were standing at the doorway of my apartment, locked in each other’s embrace. His warmth seeped into my skin, down to my very bones. I never wanted to let go. "Why can't you stay for the whole day?"

"I still have a bit of work I plan to get done this weekend. I wish I could stay too." He withdrew from the hug a bit and pressed his lips to mine in a slow kiss. "I would really like to be with you for the whole weekend, but I need to leave."

I nodded. "I know." I buried my head in his chest again. "I'm just going to miss you a lot."

He kissed my temple several times. "I'm going to miss you too." We swayed in place for a moment before he released me.

"I really do have to go. Goodbye, Sophia." He stopped before he left. "I almost forgot. I have something special planned for you and Izzy. Be ready tomorrow morning, I'm sending my driver to pick both of you up. I've prepared a spa and shopping day for you. All expenses paid."

My eyes widened. "A day at the spa and shopping?" I shook my head. "That's too much, Alex. I can't, not with the car and-"

He cut me off with a kiss. The purposeful movement of his lips had me gripping his biceps. "Don't refuse. It's the least you deserve."

"Is this about the dress thing yesterday?"

"It's because I want to. Let me spoil you, Sophia."

I grinned at him with another nod. "Okay."

He returned the expression. "Have fun and enjoy yourself tomorrow. Spend as much as you want on anything that you want. Let tomorrow be all about you."

"I wouldn't even know what to get."

He kissed my cheek. "Then get everything. I'll talk to you later, okay?"

I nodded and he stepped out of my apartment. I shut the door and leaned against it with a grin.

A day at the spa along with unlimited shopping in a boutique. Tomorrow would be amazing. I headed to my bedroom so I could call Izzy.

Alexander was the only thing on my mind. He always made me feel cared for and loved no matter what it was that he did.

A wistful sigh escaped me as I flopped into my bed. I dialed Izzy's number, feeling like a schoolgirl. Alexander was perfect. The man I didn't even know I wanted until he was sitting across from me in a coffee shop.

Chapter Twelve Sophia

Early the next morning, I was woken up by my phone ringing. The deep male voice on the other end of the line was Alexander's driver. He had arrived and was now waiting patiently for me in the parking lot.

I called Izzy to pass the message along to her so she could get ready. Then, I rolled out of bed and got ready for the day. Since shopping required movement and therefore maximum comfort, I wore a simple blue sundress and strappy sandals.

I was grinning the whole time. The smile on my face was beginning to make my cheeks hurt, but I couldn't help it. I was excited at the prospect of having a whole day to shop for whatever I wanted as well as a day at the spa.

I raced down the stairs and out of the building. Alexander's driver was waiting for me in the parking lot. He was a tall, slightly older man with salt and pepper hair. He was dressed in a jet-black, three-piece suit. He nodded respectfully to me and introduced himself as Philip.

We drove in silence to Izzy's apartment complex. Izzy was standing outside her building when we got there. She was dressed in a plain black t-shirt and light-washed blue jeans. She got into the car hurriedly.

"So how was Friday night?" she asked once she settled into her seat. My face heated up at once. Her eyes lit up once she saw my flush. "Tell me everything. Was he as good in bed as he looks?" She leaned in closer. "How big is he?"

"Izzy," I hissed, slapping her hand gently. I gestured pointedly at Philip who hadn't said a word since his introduction. "Don't talk about it in front of him.”

She brushed me off easily. "He doesn't care," she said dismissively. "Are you in any way bothered about our conversation, Philip?"

"No, Miss Isabella. My instructions were to take you to the boutique, carry your bags, and bring you back home safely. You can talk freely when I'm around."

"See. He literally just told us that he doesn't care. Now, spill your guts. How was he?" I bit my lip and hummed. "You have to tell me. Best friend code."
