Leanne blinks. “Whatever I want?”

I give her a sharp nod, preparing to slide out of the bed. A wicked expression of glee sweeps over her face, but she just shakes her head when I shoot her a questioning glance. I shrug and head in to start our shower.

My girl is still feeling a little shy as I gently swipe a soapy bath puff over her curves. She keeps hiding her face against me, but the fact that she’s nestling close says it’s not genuine discomfort.

As soon as I have her toweled off and wrapped in my smallest bathrobe, I set her down on the bathroom counter and go back in the bedroom to fetch her ring. I slide it on her finger without a word.

Leanne finds some pretty quickly, though. “Hey, aren’t you forgetting something?”

I raise an eyebrow just to mess with her.

“Like a question? Maybe some flowery expressions of devotion?”

I kiss the end of her nose. “No. You wrung all the flowery words right out of me when you made me fuck you a second time.”

“I made you?” she huffs with sparks in her eyes that are already getting me hard. Then her smart brain catches on. “You’re trying to wind me up, aren’t you?” Like lightning, she reaches a hand under the towel wrapped around my hips and finds my cock. She gives it one long, lingering caress and then, to my sorrow, removes her hand.

“Such a dirty, bad girl, getting a man all excited like that,” I growl into her ear, gathering her close. She mutters an annoyed response, but I’m too busy kissing her neck to catch all of it.

“Baby, there is no question because it’s a simple fact that we’re getting married. Probably in about two weeks. If you want something flowery with your family and friends, we can do that next summer. But fair warning, I’m going to do my best to get you pregnant before then.”

“So fucking high-handed,” she growls into my mouth. Since she’s the one kissing me, I don’t think she really minds that much.

“I am,” I acknowledge. “I’m intrigued by the way that really seems to turn you on.”

Leanne blushes. I sweep back the collar of the robe to see how far that extends. Her breasts are rosy. I give each one a lingering kiss and then stand straight with a groan. “Stop distracting me, baby. I need to feed you.”

Leanne

It’s almost sad the way Dom has no idea what I’ve got planned. He really shouldn’t underestimate me like this. Breakfast over and the dishes cleared, I’ve sent him into the living room while I fetch the supplies. I found a lot of interesting things in my search last night. Not least of which was a pair of handcuffs in the laundry room, up in a high cupboard. Obviously out of Cass’s reach, but otherwise a somewhat odd place to store them. They’re too heavy to be a toy and I had to check his junk drawer this morning to make sure he has the key. Because that would be too awkward beyond belief. Not to mention he might not speak to me for a week.

I’m going to have to work fast as it is. Dom is prowling in front of his windows, hands in his jeans. I pull in one of the high-backed kitchen chairs and point to it. “Sit.” I say it with a smile. There’s no need for his suspicious look. I have to tuck the handcuffs in my back pocket so I have both hands free to both grasp his and allay suspicion. He lets me maneuver his arms so I’m grasping his hands behind his neck. He’s practically radiating with curiosity until the telltale snick of steel.

“Leanne?” his tone has gone ominous. I gulp.

“Do you want me to close the blinds? I know how you like to talk in the dark.”

“I suggest you start explaining this right now, baby.” His tone is even and unhurried, but not exactly indicating flexibility in his attitude.

I walk around so I can perch on his knees. His glare is hot enough to boil water. “I have questions, things we haven’t talked about and I don’t want you leaving in a huff or trying to distract me,” I explain, watching in fascination as his nostrils flare.

“Like how come there’s no chatter in the secret government community about your former relationships? Lots of talk about how good you are getting people’s secrets, but nobody is talking about how often you get in a woman’s pants.”

Dom sighs and closes his eyes in exasperation. “Maybe because there’s nothing to tell? And how the hell are you in the know about what’s being talked about in secret government chat rooms? If there even was such a thing?”

“I have friends.” I shrug like it’s no big deal, but I know Keiko went above and beyond getting me that info. She thought it was weird too that there was absolutely no mention of any relationships. “And the man that made love to me this morning was not inexperienced, so explain yourself, Lieutenant.”

That has both eyebrows going up. “I’m hardly a man whore, Leanne. And I haven’t been with anyone in years because there simply isn’t time and I’m not bringing a casual hookup around to meet my daughter.”

He’s sounding annoyed, so I move on. “Why does hearing French arouse you so much? Did you have a secret French lover once?”

He shakes his head in disbelief. “It’s not hearing French, baby. It’s hearing you speak French. Never been a problem before you.” He’s quite emphatic about that, and my shoulders sag in relief. I’m not a stand-in then for someone out of reach.

“One more thing. Are you really sure you want to keep me forever? We don’t exactly seem to have a lot in common.” I have to work to not sound mournful about it. His expression softens anyway.

“I’m sure. And we have plenty of stuff in common, Leanne. All the important things for sure.” I wait for him to elaborate, but he doesn’t. I do see his arms flex as he tests the strength of the cuffs. I frown.
