“It’s not a terrible thing to say. Sex should be fun and relaxing. I’m glad it was almost as enjoyable for you as it was for me.”
“You got me off way more than I got you off, so if one of us enjoyed it more, it was definitely me.”
He chuckled, his chest rumbling against my body and making me smile again. “Aurora, I took far more pleasure in seeing you bare and making you unravel than I did in my own release. If it’s a competition, I’ve certainly won.”
My smile widened. “That’s ridiculous.”
“Ridiculous, but true.” His hand slid out of my hair, and started moving slowly over my back. “You were perfect.”
“So were you.”
His lips brushed the claim marking on my shoulder. “Feel free to ask me to bring you pleasure at any time. I’ll never refuse.”
“I don’t think I’m very good at realizing when I want things, or what I want. So, don’t be offended if I don’t ask you.”
“I won’t feel offense. But I do think many things will change for you now that you’re free.”
He wasn’t wrong.

And I was coming around to those changes so much faster than I would’ve expected.

“I came hereto ask what we should do about your pack,” I said, a few minutes later. “Kyla told me about the glowing, and said she didn’t think your packmates would give us time to figure things out if there was no sign of me glowing.”
“If you resisted the frenzy so completely over multiple weeks, and we didn’t spend the eclipse together, there is a good chance a few of them would try convincing you to consider them. The frenzy grows stronger the longer it’s ignored, however, so I didn’t think you’d make it that long without glowing at least a little.”
Huh.
Obviously, there was a lot I still didn’t know.
“It grows stronger?”
He made a noise of agreement. “Do you see how faint it is around us now?”
I looked at both of us, and realized wewerestill glowing; we just weren’t glowing brightly.
“Yes.”
“It grows brighter as days pass without satisfying it. Bringing each other sexual release calms it temporarily, but the only way to truly end it is to seal the mate bond.”
“Or to let the bond break with the eclipse?” I checked.
“Yes. But if you run from me after the bond is broken, it will likely reignite my mate run.”
My eyebrows shot upward. “Run from you?”
“Yes,physicallyrun.”
“Like a game of tag?”
“I haven’t heard of this game.”
