“You are crazy. You know that? You are absolutely crazy.”

“I don’t think that I’m crazy. I just think that you’re desperate. I mean, I guess you just don’t want to be single again this Christmas.”

“What do you mean single again?”

“I mean, it’s not like you have a man right now, right?”

“Oh my gosh, I cannot believe you just said that to me. Who do you think you are?”

“I think I’m the man that fucked you most recently, and I think that you loved it, and I think that you want it again, and you know what, Ella?”

“What?” I say through gritted teeth.

“I want you too,” he says, “So, we can play games. Or—”

”You know what? I’m over you, and I’m over this entire situation.”

“Just answer me one thing,” he says.

“What?!” I snap.

“Why did you come over?”

“Because, as you said, you were fucking me very recently, and I just don’t think it’s cool that you’re on another date with someone else.”

“What do you mean, ‘another date’?” He says, chuckling. “I don’t remember you and I ever going on a date.” I bite down on my lower lip. He’s correct, of course. We’ve never been on a date.

“What are you trying to say, that I’m easy?” I say, with eyes wide.

“I wouldn’t say that,” he says, shaking his head. “I mean, yeah, we were at a masked party, and yeah, we were dirty dancing, and yeah, I touched you, and you didn’t even know who I was. But hey, we were having fun, right?” I just listen to his words and don’t respond because the way he’s saying them makes me feel like I’m a little bit of a slut.

“Hey, if men can have fun, so can women,” I say.

“Hey, I agree and let’s be real. You knew who I was before you fucked me.”

“Yes, I did, and I should have walked away as soon as I found out,” I say, “Because you’ve just been a headache in my life.”

“Really?” He says, his arms moving around my waist as he brings me in toward him. “I’ve just been a headache in your life?”

“Yes,” I say, glaring up at him.

“I mean, I could say the same thing, Ella.”

“Yeah, but you’re not going to because—”

“You want to know why I’m not going to?” he says, leaning down to kiss me on the nose.

“Why?” I say.

“Because you look mighty pretty when you’re angry, and if you didn’t know, I’m hard as hell right now.” He presses himself against my stomach and I gasp as I feel his hardness. I reached down involuntarily and squeeze. “Oh, fuck,” he says, shaking his head. “You shouldn’t have done that.”

“Why not?” I say innocently.

“Come,” he says, grabbing my hand and moving me toward the corridor.

“Where are we going?”

“I think you know where we’re going, Ella,” he says. I glance at him for a couple of seconds and shake my head, but then, because I listen to my body more than I listen to my brains I go with him. We slip into one of the restrooms and he locks the door. “We don’t have much time,” he says.
