“Okay, but if you want, we can have one last moment of fun for you to remember and fantasize about.”
“Ewww! Are you absolutely out of your mind?”
“No, but you have ten minutes to get ready before your brother arrives.”
“What?!” I scream. “What are you talking about? You don’t live with Sam anymore. You guys have your own places.”
“Yeah, but he’s coming over this morning. I thought you would’ve known that.”
“Why would I know that?” I say. “I don’t keep track of your schedule, and I certainly don’t keep track of Sam’s schedule.”
“So is that a yes or a no?” He jumps up and walks over to me. His blue eyes have a devious glint in them as he leans down and kisses me on the lips.
I don’t know what to do. My body tingles as I stare at him. I place my palms against his shoulders to push him away, but instead, they somehow seem to wrap around his neck. “We’re not doing this,” I say, glaring at him.
He laughs, moving his hands so he can squeeze my naked ass. “Last night was good though, huh?” he whispers in my ear, and for a few seconds, I remember what it felt like to feel him thrusting inside of me. I blink and pull away.
“No, this is not gonna happen.” I push him away and quickly grab my clothes. I’m pulling on my skirt and then my top when I realize that I forgot to put on my panties. I grab them from the floor and discover I’m also holding his boxers. “You can—” I freeze as I hear the front door slam. “What is going on?” I say, my face going red. Footsteps are heading toward the door.
“Hey, you up yet?” It’s my brother’s voice, and I stare at Colton, who is laughing.Fuck! What am I going to do?I think.

There is something about fear that will stop you in your tracks, even though you know that this is the moment that you should be moving faster than you’ve ever moved before. I can hear Sam’s voice on the other side of the door, and my heart feels like it is going to fall out of my body. Like I am going to pass out. “Respond to him!” I hiss at Colton. He is trying not to laugh. He runs his fingers through his hair again and shakes his head.
“Why don’t you say something before he opens the door? What are you thinking?” I hit him. “Do you want him to kill me and you?”
“I don’t know,” he says. “Do you?”
“What did you say?” Sam bangs on the door. “I can’t hear you. You decent? Can I come in?”
“Hold on, dude,” Colton says. “I’m just finishing up some work here.”
“Oh, this early?”
Colton chuckles. “You know me, always working.”
I glare at him for a couple of seconds. “What am I going to do?” I say, more to myself than to him because I know he’s not going to be a help in this situation. He thinks it’s funny, even though he knows my brother would annihilate him if he knew what Colton had done to me the previous evening.
“What’s it gonna be?” he says. “You could hide in my closet or under my bed, or—”
“I’m not hiding under your bed.”
“You can hide in the bed,” he says. “I’ll go and play basketball with your brother. I’ll be back in about an hour. Then I’ll take a shower and you can scrub me, clean me up.” He licks his lips, his fingers reach over to my stomach, and he runs them down to my belly button. “And then I can clean you up,” he says, grinning. “I seem to remember that your stomach got a little sticky last night.”
Oh my gosh, this is not happening, I think, blinking fast.Think, think, think, Ella. You need to use your brain right now.I know I look absolutely crazy, but I don’t know what else to do.
“Dude, what’s going on?” Sam says.
Colton grins and then points to his bed. “You want to get under it or in it?”
“Neither,” I say. “You are so lucky that I don’t have a—”
“Hey, you can come in.” Colton chuckles, and Sam tries the door. I nearly fall on the ground, but that’s when I realize it’s locked.
Thank you, dear Jesus. Someone is looking out for me, I think. I watch as Colton walks into the bathroom, wraps a towel around his waist and heads over to the door. “What are you doing?” I say. He looks back at me and shrugs, and I just stand there like a fool.
“Hey, sorry about that, Sam.”
