“You up for that?”

“Kids with you?” Ginny asked and Gavin nodded. “I could be convinced.”

He snorted and pulled the covers back, scooting closer to her. “What do I need to do to convince you?”

Ginny hummed, leaning in to brush her against Gavin’s. “Are we going to move into a new house?”

“We can. In fact, I know of the perfect place.”

Of course he did. “More pets?”

“Without a doubt. I know a perfect place for that too.”

A giggle escaped her and as Gavin smiled against her mouth, she felt his rough beard scrape her chin. “Marriage?”

“One day,” he whispered without a single ounce of hesitation. “You?”

“I could be convinced,” she repeated, because this kind of life hadn’t even featured on her list of things to do before she turned forty until Gavin walked back into it. “Nothing flashy, though.”

“I’m happy to elope. Take the girls and run away for a few days, get married on a lake. We can throw a big party when we come back.”

Ginny stared at Gavin, not at all surprised that he’d thought that far ahead. That he was absolutely serious about this. She hadn’t even considered how it would feel to have a partner who wanted the things she did. But she felt her head move in a slow nod. Because shedidwant all those things and she wanted it with Gavin.

“Convinced?”

“I love you,” she breathed out, unaware that she’d held her breath through that whole thought process.

Gavin chuckled, nuzzling his nose against hers. “Now, how about we make some babies.”

“We can’t,” she mumbled and heard Gavin whine. “Because I still have my IUD in. But, I’m all for practicing.”

“I love practicing.” The words were muttered roughly against her mouth before he kissed her, hands sliding down to cup her ass so he could pull her against him.

She was doing it all, with the first and only man she’d ever loved. Ginny had spent so many years being afraid of giving herself to someone because of the things that her parents went through. The difference was that Gavin would always put her first, he’d always think of her before he thought of himself.

And he would love her in this absolutely intense way every single time. Who was she to walk away from that?

CHAPTER38

Babies.Marriage. A new life with Ginny at the center of it?

Gavin’s head was spinning as they kissed. As she sucked on his bottom lip, her fingers digging into his ass through his boxers. He had definitely thought that deeply about a future with Ginny, but he didn’t realize that she did as well. Now, he was thinking about three little girls who looked like Ginny that he got to spoil rotten. He was thinking about marrying the woman in his arms by a lake, promising to give her all of him for the rest of their lives. In his mind, he’d also finished decorating the beautiful ranch home.

He’d finally signed all the paperwork totheirnew home, the keys were sitting in a velvet box beside another velvet box with a beautiful ring in it. They were going to fill that home with so many animals and tons of kids. And he couldn’t fucking wait.

So much had happened in the last few months and he was glad that through it all, they held onto each other. There had been moments where it felt like they were spinning out of control, but they always found a way to steady themselves. They’d sorted through their messy history, they talked about how to move forward together. But most importantly, they were thinking ahead.Farahead, but it was more than he ever thought he’d have with Ginny.

“Are you okay?”

Blinking at the words, Gavin focused on Ginny and found her frowning at him. They’d been kissing, right?Did I black out? Romantic.

“What happened?”

“You went very still and maybe even stopped breathing for a second.”

His eyes widened and Gavin snorted out a laugh. “I’m okay. I was just thinking aboutusand got distracted.”

“Then I’ll forgive you for not even reacting to the fact that my hand is around your cock right now.”
