Chris sat on the couch and let his eyes rove over Anthony’s body, making him self-conscious, but not in a bad way. “You look better every time I see you.”

One thing Anthony particularly loved about his new-found intimacy with Chris was how generous he was with compliments. “It’s because of work. I forgot how much lifting is involved.”

“Did you start working for that new client?”

“Yes, started yesterday.” Anthony hadn't wanted to originally, worried about having too much on his plate so soon after getting back on his feet following the divorce. Chris had offered to handle the negotiation and presented himself as Anthony’s partner, ending up getting him double his usual rate. Even more impressive had been his ability to handle the conversation while fingering Anthony in his bed. Talk about negotiation skills.

“Good.” Chris smiled. “We’ll make a tycoon out of you in no time.”

“Oh, you know I’m not about that.”

“It’s okay to dream big, Ant. Less worthy people do that all the time.”

“Isn’t it also okay to dream slightly bigger than where I am now?” Compared to where he’d been a couple of months ago—mentally and financially—he was feeling on top of the world.

“You’re right,” Chris said after giving it some thought. “I tend to behave like my way of thinking fits everyone.”

“I still like it when you challenge me.”

Chris pulled down the front of Anthony’s briefs. “I see you’re handling my challenges well.”

Barely.

Chris let go of the briefs and leaned back on the couch.

“I tried calling my parents today,” Anthony said.

“You did?”

“Yes, even got my dad to pick up the call this time. He barely said two words to me before my mom started yelling in the background that he should hang up.”

“That’s... I’m sorry.”

Anthony shrugged. He had expected that outcome but still felt obligated to try every once in a while. “It is what it is. I can’t change them, and they can’t change me.”

“It’s their job to accept you.”

“I think they missed that part in the contract.”

“They had a bad lawyer.”

Anthony chuckled. “What was so shitty at your work today?”

Chris let out a long breath, looking troubled. “How about you bring us wine and we’ll talk about it.”

Anthony went to the kitchen and brought back two glasses to the living room. He sat on the couch next to Chris, who took a long sip. “I fucked up, Ant. Big time.”

“What do you mean?”

“I…” He put the glass on the table and moved closer, placing his palm on Anthony’s leg. Even such a casual touch was enough to cause Anthony’s cock to stir in his cage.

“I was sloppy, and someone from work saw your photos.”

“My… photos?”

“You know which ones.”

Oh.Those photos captured him in the most intimate positions imaginable. He had been worried about having them find their way into the wild, and it seemed that the day had come. Although, to be fair, Anthony wasn’t likely to meet any of Chris’s coworkers. Plus, as Chris had pointed out the first time he’d taken the photos, Anthony wasn’t a celebrity whose career might be affected by his cock showing up online.
