I nod, feeling both relieved and strangely aroused by his touch and his words. There’s something about the way he said he wanted tocuff methat felt a lot like he was sayingclaimme. But that’s insane. The way he speaks with such authority and conviction...it’s like he knows exactly what I need, even before I do.

“Is there anything else you need from me?” I ask, trying to sound casual.

Frost smiles, a wicked gleam in his eyes. “Not right now, Candy. I believe Dash is waiting for you.”

“Oh, umm, do you know where?” I bite my lip again and try not to fiddle with the hem of my dress. “Vixen mentioned an ice room?”

Frost nods. “I have a couple of minutes. I’ll show you.”

“Thanks,” I smile, relieved that I at least won’t get lost wandering the maze of corridors alone.

“Allow me,” he says, sliding out from behind the bar and placing his palm on the small of my back to guide me which way to go. I know some women would be furious at the gesture – that’s Wint and Frost who have used it on me tonight – because they know a guy would never do it to another guy, but I like it. It makes me feel safe, protected, cared for. All the things I never really had bar my short stint with Aiden, and look how that turned out. Anyway, I like chivalry, what can I say?

Frost steps in front and leads me down a hallway, but they still all look the same to me. “You know,” I say thoughtfully. “You’ll have to explain to me how you remember which corridor leads where.”

“It’s the doors,” he replies without looking at me. “There’s runes etched into the handles.”

“Oh, I think my rune reading skills are a little rusty,” I quip. “I’ll have to brush up.”

Suddenly Frost stops walking but I don’t realise in time and I slam into his back. “Ooof. Hey—”

My reprimand dies on my lips as he pushes me back against the wall and invades my space, caging me in on either side with strong arms.

“I’d be careful if I were you, Candy,” he warns, his icy eyes blazing. “While you’re wearing that bracelet, one has permission to punish you for that sassy mouth.”

“P-punish?” I manage to stutter, even though I can’t breathe. His silver lime, mimosa and cedar scent is intoxicating me this close. I want to drown in him.

“The design on this cuff tells everyone who you belong to.” He explains, one hand dropping to my side to trace the skin of my wrist. I shiver.

“And who do I belong to? Dash?” I whisper.

“To all of us.” I nearly whimper at his confession, and by the knowing smirk on his face he damn well knows I’m excited by that. “And wewillpunish you for your sass.”

“How?” I ask, my eyes wide like saucers wondering what he has in store for me.

“That’s for you to find out,” he whispers, leaning in so his breath caresses my cheek. He knocks on the door beside me, the loud noise startling me and breaking the spell he has me under. I’m sure I was about to beg him to do his worst, and thatiscrazy. The idea of punishment terrified and enthrals me, but there’s no way I want my first foray into it to be with someone as fierce and unyielding as Frost.

The door beside us opens and Frost steps back, a smug smile on his perfectly chiselled, icy face. “She’s all yours, and I’d say she’s warmed up and ready to go.”

Dash chuckles and my body tingles with embarrassment and a hot flash of annoyance. Did Frost just play me?

Dash takes my hand in his, pulling me into the soothing coolness of the ice room, and waves goodbye to Frost.

“I think I can handle it from here,” he tells him.

“Enjoy yourself,” Frost replies. “Oh and Candy?”

“Y-yeah?”

“Remember what I said. Because I’ll be watching and waiting for the opportunity to strike.”

My answering gulp is loud in the silence as he walks away.

DASH

She looks fucking stunning, back to the wall, knees weak, hair dishevelled. And that dress…fuck. Her whole look is not what I was expecting tonight. She looks powerful, confident, sexy as hell – like she wouldn’t be out of place down in the dungeon with North or wielding a bullwhip like Vixen.

I silently groan, wondering if I misjudged her. The others all agreed I was the best choice to introduce Candy to this other side of the club – approaching what we do from a member’s viewpoint, rather than as staff. Sure, I suggested it to her, but my brothers wouldn’t have hesitated to step in and override me if they didn’t think I was the best fit. Out of the five of us, I’m the sensible choice. I’m known for my aftercare and using gentle coaxing, praise and encouragement to bring out the best in people. Everyone thought that was exactly what Candy needs.
