“It is absolutely great. I have my two princesses and my queen.” Nolan’s eyes give me insane butterflies, or maybe that’s just Maelie kicking me playfully in the womb.
Aria runs up to the deck of the house, stomping up the three small steps and turns to us with her hands thrown in the air.
“And this is our castle!” she shouts.
We both chuckle, walking up to meet Aria, hand in hand.
I would have never imagined my life the way that it is now, full of contentment, hope, pain, laughter, tears, mystery, and love. And if I had to go through what I went through ten times over just to be standing here in this exact memory today, I would do it.
Because nothing compares to the way my heart beats right now, and I wouldn’t give that up for anything in the world.
“Come on, Firefly. Let’s go home.”
