“Do you want to come for us, Bailey?”

“Oh!”

My balls draw up ready to empty into her the second I sink into her. I chuckle with a mouthful of her breasts in my mouth. I nibble, lick and bite until the pretty pink tip blushes red.

“Darius, you…oh! You can’t do this. Why?” she moans and jerks on the ropes.

“I ask if you want to come for us, beautiful.”

She shakes her head and licks her lips. “Is…is that one of your questions?” she asks, panting.

Clever hellcat. “Yes, beautiful. Answer me honestly and you can have the fucking world.”

“Yes! Yes! I want to come so bad it actually hurts. Make it stop…please.”

Victor pushes to his feet and slices through the rope holding her ankles. I do the same to her wrists and retie those while Victor leaves her feet free as soon as we have her flipped to her stomach.

Augustine grabs the sweater and bra clinging to her back and tosses it on top of Victor’s shirt.

The rush of adrenaline that punches me in the gut, forces me back a step.

“My god.” I don’t know where to touch first.

Bailey grows still. “Shit,” she mutters. “You should have left the sweater where it was.”

Ice clings to her voice.

“Bailey D’Angelo. Sweetheart.” I kneel by the table and take her face in my hands. I brush away strands of hair so I can hold her gaze with mine.

“Who gave you those lash marks?”

“Does it matter? It’s not like you can take a magical eraser and make them disappear.”

It matters. It matters a-fucking-lot.

“Gentlemen.”

We all back off. Augustine scrapes his hands over his face. “Who did this to you, Bailey? Tell us.” I watch as my friend settles a hand in the middle of her back. “Tell us.”

When she doesn’t answer, Augustine retreats to join us in the kitchen. I keep my eye on her and speak in a low voice. “Son of a fucking bitch,” I seethe. “Do you see how many there are?” I white-knuckle the edge of the kitchen island. Wood groans and cracks under the force of my wrath. When it’s the bastard who did this to her in my grip, there will be no mercy.

“Our mission has changed. My father’s killer will come to light, eventually. If she was truly telling the truth about the contracts and giving them to her father, he’s the one with the answers. We need to know who did that to her. Period.”

“Agreed.” Augustine places his hands on the countertop, palms open. He drops his head a minute and when he raises his gaze the sheer power shining mirrors the darkness in me.

“Blood is what I want for the pain she’s gone through.”

On the same page as my brothers, I return to crouch at the side of the table and move her hair away from her face. “Come back to me, sweetheart. Don’t hide,” I say, brushing my knuckles down her cheek and wiping at her tears. I cup either side of her face when she tries to turn away. “Come back to me and stay right here. You’re safe. Baby, you’re killing us. Don’t cry. Tell us. Just a name. That is all you have to give. You can whisper it.”

Her lashes fall closed, and she shuts us out of her world. “Pass. Not answering. It does no one any good. I will not be responsible for you getting hurt. It helps no one.”

“Look at me,” I command.

When our eyes connect, there is a dullness in hers that drives a stake through my stony heart.

“You win the game. Can you untie me now?”

“Not until you tell us what happened and who put those on you.”
