“Reyna…”

“Kyro…” Her fingers grip my arm tightly as we come together in sweet solace. Her lips kiss my own as we both smile.

Reyna let us continue to laugh, let’s continue to hold each other, and let’s continue to take over this city.

Five Years Later

Reyna

I hear footsteps from my office, and I know my daughter is nearby. Kyro is holding her hand as she walks beside him. Her little feet make the cutest sounds.

“Ximena, are you visiting Mommy at work?” I awe, looking at my adorable daughter. She’s like my little mini-me. She has Kyro’s face, but my physical traits. Down to the curly black hair.

Kyro and I decided to open up some legal businesses to better hide all the dirty money that we have. It’s getting to the point where we have too much of it. So, while Kyro runs the Bratva, I run our legal business. It works well for me. I have a beautiful office and a beautiful building, where the money continues to flow. I know Ivan would be immensely proud.

I pick up Ximena in my arms and kiss her chubby cheeks. Prince has been quite an adult lately. He’s no longer stuck by my side the way he used to be when he was a child. I’ve got to say I deeply miss it. Now he is deep in his studies and does not have much time for me anymore. Prince skipped a few grades and is already studying college-level material. Maybe he will just stick to school and not go into the family business after all, but there’s no telling what will happen.

“Stopping by before I leave her with my mom.” Kyro still hasn’t fully forgiven his mother for the past, but he allows her to see our daughter. That’s all he feels that he can offer her. That type of pain. It’s hard to get through.

“Prince should be done with his studies; he’ll be joining us for dinner tonight. Trey will be there as well. Those two remind me of Ivan and I when we were young.” I smile at the fond way he remembers Ivan. I’m sure the two of them were little menaces. I just know they gave the city a run for their money. I could see them acting like they were so cool.

“We should have another baby soon,” Kyro says as I hand him our daughter.

I kiss his lips and he softly groans. “If we have another girl, you’ll be outnumbered.”

“Nothing wrong with that. I’m going to make sure they run this city after we are gone.” Not a lie was detected in his voice.

I laugh, knowing full well that he’s telling the truth. He’s already been speaking of putting Ximena in boxing as soon as possible. I understand it’s a dangerous world and even worse if you’re a woman. They should learn to protect themselves early on. Just in case Kyro and I aren’t around anymore.

Hopefully, when we do die, I die first…
