It's why I was called in so quickly.

The warehouse is two stories. After a thorough check through the rifle scope, I determined the top floor was clear, and I ensured to let my team know before looking at the bottom. My heart stops when I see a few figures lying on the floor.

Fuck.

I checked around and saw it was all clear.

"This is Sniper; all men stay clear; I'm going in."

I state this in my earpiece before I hear Budgie reply.

"Copy Sniper."

I quickly cleared up before making my way down the hill. I kept my rifle pointed before moving it around with my eyes, watching my surroundings. When I reach the side door, I slowly open it before pointing my rifle inside from side to side before entering. I soon come to a stop at the site in front of me.

Fuck. No, fuck.

My eyes started to water when I saw Marshal and what was supposed to be Marshall's body. His fingers are sawed off, his eyes are missing, and his body is cut up to pieces. Fuck no. I look around and see the massacre.

I take a deep breath before getting back on the radio. "Nine bodies. Four children, three women, two men, and Fuck and Hawk, all deceased, send a crew."

I hear several fucks in my ear before I make my way over to Marshall. I kneel down and drop my head when I see his Navy Seal emblem tattooed on his shoulder, just like we all have.

Fuck, fuck, fuck.

The door slams open, and my team enters, rushing to me.

They all start cursing when they see our brother while I slowly stand.

"We need to clear the place and search it; find any information you can. MOVE."

I shout the last bit as every member taps my shoulder before Budgie squeezes it.

"We'll get them, brother."

I nod, and we go in search of any information while the rest of our team clears out the bodies. Our delta team will try to identify the bodies while Marshall will be taken back to base before our commander contacts his family.

I'm brought back when Budgie says, "I spoke to Axel; he should be at the landing bay when we arrive." I nod. "We couldn't have done this without you, Travis. Marshall will be proud of you for stepping up as a leader the way you did. You single-handedly found and destroyed the trafficker's operation."

I give him a half smile and say, "We did well as a team, Shaun. If you ever need me, I'll be there.

He grins at me, and I chuckle a little before looking back out the window.

An hour later, we land back in Dallas, and I stand before giving Budgie a hug, ignoring the dirty feeling, and say, "You need me; you call."

He nods before gently patting my back. "Always, brother. Now go win your girl round, yeah."

I chuckle and nod before heading to the doorway of the plane.

When I get to the bottom of the stairs, Axel climbs out of the club's truck and says, "Fuck Travis, it's good to see you, and I know a certain beauty who will be relieved that you are home."

I grin at his words, hoping they are true before I walk over to him.

He grins back, but it soon vanishes, and panic etches over his face before he rushes over to me.

"I'm alright, brother, I promise."

He just raises a brow while looking at my shoulder; that's all bandaged up.
