CHAPTER

Carmilla

Pulling up to whatlooked like a deserted warehouse, in the Fuller Park area of Chicago, in the God damn middle of the night. I took a look around my surroundings before I opened the door and got out of my car, hoping it would actually be there when I got back. “Wrong time to leave my gun in my other purse,” I mumbled to myself as I walked up to the door to the warehouse. When I got to it, I found it cracked open. When I pushed on it a creaking noise rang out through the empty space, alerting everyone in the area of my location.

Shit!

Walking slowly inside, I could see there was a small light that burned in the back; and I was praying to God he hadn't set me up to die at the hands of some drug addict that was holing up in here for the night. My eyes swept back and forth as I crossed the dirty floor, getting closer to where the glow of light was coming from. Not seeing him anywhere in the area, I decided to call out his name. “G-Gustavo? Gustavo, are you here?” I called out in a low whispered yell, hoping like hell I didn’t attract attention from any other lowlife's hanging around this shit hole he'd summoned me to.

“Why I'm right here.” He answered so close to my ear from behind that I practically shit my pants.

“What the fuck!” I screamed out, turning to face him as I grabbed my chest, my heart practically trying to hammer out of right now. “Oh my God you scared the shit out of me! What's the matter with you?!” I yelled pissed off.

Looking me over like a succulent meal, served up to him on a silver platter, he answered. “Had to make sure you were alone and not trying to set me up.”

“Of course I'm alone. I told you that this had to stay just between us.” I told him, trying to get my heart to slow back down.

Walking past me and in the direction of the light, I followed behind him. “Yeah but I know wherever you are, Luca's not too far behind, that man's nothing but a pathetic excuse doing all your bidding for you just to possibly get back into that cunt of yours one more time. The damn thing must be made of gold with everything he's done for you.” He suddenly stops, looking me up and down again before closing in on me in two steps, grabbing my chin to pull me closer. “Maybe I should take a taste for myself and see what all the fuss is about.”

Feeling the fear rise up inside of me again, I prayed that he wasn’t going to rape me. Gustavo was an extremely attractive man but also an extremely dangerous one. I'd heard about his 'preferences' when he took a woman, he liked to make them scream, and not from pleasure. He was a dark and twisted man. Feeling his breath on my face as I stood frozen in front of him, I finally got my voice to work. “Y-you never said that was part of the deal. You wanted money, not me.”

“What if I said that it was now part of the deal? Would you still want me to help you?” He practically growled, lowering his head to my neck and nipping it before rising back up to his full, very intimidating height. As he stared into my eyes, that I knew held a lot of fear in them right now, my body shook in his grasp, wondering if he really meant what he’d said. Then he did something that I'd never seen him do the other times I'd been near him, he laughed at me. “Surely you must know that I never have to force a woman to be with me, and I'm not about to start now. But would I really be forcing you Camilla?” He questioned, brushing his thumb over my bottom lip. “I can see how you react to my touch, bellissimo. The fear in your eyes shines with lust in them, too, mmm the perfect combination.” Letting me go, he started to walk towards the light again and I found my feet cemented to the floor. Looking back at me, he asked. “So, are we making this deal, or what?”

“B-but...” I squeaked out before he cut me off.

“Relax, it will only cost you money, not your body. I'm not in the habit of wanting cold hearted bitches on my dick.” Getting angry at his insults, I began to stalk towards him. “Aww now there's the Camilla I've come to know, I just had to call you by your real name.” He winked with a shit eating grin.

I slammed the bag of money down on the table. “I'm not here to be judged by you. I'm here to hire you to do a fucking job for me, got it.”

Quicker than anything I'd ever seen in my life, he reached out, grabbing me by the throat and pulled me in close. “And your disrespect is very unwelcome. I could just kill you right now and take the money and there's not a fucking thing you could do about it.” He growled at me before releasing his grip on my neck with a shove.

Grabbing my throat, I gasped for air. “I-I'm sorry.”

He looked at me with a stone-cold glare, like the one he usually wore. “That's better. Now let's get down to business. Did you bring the whole payment for the job?”

Still holding my throat, I answered. “Yes, one million.”

“Good, so you had mentioned in our last call that the men of Black Spade Securities in Dallas, Texas have her? Are you sure about that?”

“Yes. Luca was able to get the information from a former Agent Jackson. He said that was the last place he heard she was.”

“So how do you want to do this? Do you want me to take her and bring her to you? Or do you want her eliminated?”

Thinking about my options, I knew I couldn't take the chance of her ever remembering who she is again and showing up. “Eliminated.” Was my answer.

He let out a chuckle. “Boy you really are one cold hearted bitch, Camilla. Killing your own sister? You had better hope your father or Vitale never find out about this or the death I give Lillian will be a pleasantry compared to the excruciatingly painful one you will suffer at their hands.”

“Unless you tell them, they will never find out.”

Tapping his finger on his lips, he warned me. “Well then there's Luca, he may turn on you soon if you continue to drag him through this hell any longer. A man can only take so much before he snaps, you know.”

I was hopeful that I’d be able to keep Luca under control. “I know Luca, and he would never want to see me hurt. He loves me too much.”

“You had better hope that love lasts. Now go back to your perfect little fucking world, Camilla. I will call you when it's done.” Picking up the bag without another word, he turned the lantern off and walked away, leaving me surrounded in darkness.

Running as fast as I could, in these heels, I got back into my car and speed away, hoping this would be all over soon.
