CHAPTER

Camilla

Our trip to the bankwent off without a hitch. I now know where I got my Oscar winning performances from, my dear old Momma. I watched her charm the manager at the bank into breaking the rules, stating Lillian had to sign for the trust at the same time my mother did, otherwise she wouldn't be able to put her signature down to collect the money later. But Donatella could really flirt... or the guy was shitting his pants when he heard the last name she gave, knowing there would be hell to pay if he didn't make an exception to the rules for my family. Either way it was a win for me as I now carried out a check for $5.2 million dollars made out to cash. Then when I got Lillian's half, I'd be set for life. I’d find some small place on an island somewhere and live like a queen, having some hot man pamper me day in and day out.

What about Luca you ask? Yeah, well what about him? Why isn't he in my happily ever after picture? To that question I can only shrug my shoulders as an answer.

When we arrived back at the warehouse, where I told Anthony to bring Lillian, I had Luca put my mother into a room that was used as an office at one time and lock the door so she couldn't run out and warn Lillian that she was in danger. “I need you to go hide in that back area over there out of sight, too.” I told him, pointing to a darkened area in the back of the building. “Otherwise if he sees you when he walks in he’ll think somethings up.”

“Don't make me wait long. I don't want him thinking that he can put his hands on you.”

“You really need to stop all of this jealousy shit, Luca. I'm here with you right now. These two men were part of my past. Besides, I am giving you the opportunity to remove them permanently from our lives, am I not?”

“Yes but...” Before he could finish his sentence, we heard a car door slam outside.

“Shit! Go hide!” I whisper yelled at him just as the door to our building started to open. When they both walked in, Lillian’s eyes landed on me with a look of hate almost immediately. “Well I'm glad to see that you finally made it.”

“What's going on Camilla? And what have you done with Momma? If you’ve hurt her I'll...”

“You’ll what, little sister? Hit me? Kill me? Psft, you don't have it in you, princess.”

“You know nothing about what I would or wouldn't do because I will kill you if you hurt her or Papa.” She growled back at me.

“Such big threats from someone in your position.”

“If this is about Vitale you can have him! I don't even want to marry him! I love someone else!”

“And who would that be?”

Her lips thinning, she didn't say more, only stared at me. “I asked you a question Lillian, who?!”

“What does it even matter?! Like I said Vitale is all yours! Just take him and leave me and Momma out of your sick games for God sakes!”

“I don't want him anymore now that he wants to kill me, thanks to your princess ass! Anthony, put her in the room over there so we can talk privately.”

Nodding his head, he began to pull her towards the room when she swung around, pulling out of his grip. “Camilla why are you doing all of this?! What did I ever do to you?! What did momma and papa ever do to you that was so bad it made you into this soulless bitch you’ve become?!”

Walking up and getting right in her face I informed her. “They never loved me like they love you! You were always their little princess and I was just the bad seed they hated dealing with, and you ate every minute of that shit up! Now, no more questions, Anthony take her.”

Grabbing her arm, he dragged her away as she yelled more obscenities, taking her to the same room Momma was in.

I sat there for a moment, with no one near me, and I asked myself the question that had never really presented itself until now.

Can I really go through with all of this?

When Anthony came back alone the first thing he did was wrap his arms around me and lay a kiss on my lips. “Hello, baby,” he said just as Luca stepped up behind him and cocked the gun he had pointed at Anthony’s head.

“Hello asshole.” Luca announced as Anthony tried to reach out for me and use me as a shield. But like I'd said before, I am my father’s daughter, so I knew how these assholes thought. By time he was reaching out for me I was already too far away for him to get to me.

“What is this, Camilla? What's going on?” He raised in the air once he realized there's no way out of this.

“Sorry Anthony, you know how it is.”

“You fucking bitch!” Going for the gun on his belt, it was Luca once again who’d been faster on the draw and Anthony’s lifeless body dropped to the ground with a hole in his head in a growing puddle of his own blood.

“See, now don't you feel better knowing you were the one who got to pull the trigger and end him?”
