CHAPTER

Porter

After we arrived atthe airport, it was only a ten-minute wait until Larson and Walker's plane landed. Bidding farewell to Tanner, we boarded the plane on the tarmac and huddled with Larson, Walker and three other agents, trying to figure out just where the hell this underground tunnel was while waiting for Brice and Carter to arrive.

"The only place I can think of is this area here," Larson said, pointing to a spot on the map that looked like it sat out in the middle of the desert."

Looking at the satellite image, I argued. "But there are no dwellings above ground there."

"Well this is the area that we've tracked movement in on the satellite." He informed me.

"Shit! I know why you can't see any of the dwellings." I said, feeling like for the first time we were on the right track, if we had the right area that was.

"What is it?" Vance asked.

"My grandfathers fucking cave! See this mountain side right here?" I pointed at the map. Larson, Vance and Walker all looked at it together.

"Yeah I see it. What about it?" Larson questioned.

"Shit! I know exactly what your saying, brother." Vance blurted out.

"Well will one of you please tell me, so I can join in this ah ha moment of yours," Larson bit out, placing his hands on the table in frustration.

"Okay, back in the day my grandfather built an actual residence inside of a mountain side for Doomsday, and unless you know it's there you would think you were just looking at an every day normal mountainside. Is there any way you can get a closer image from the satellite dish on this area here?" I pointed to the large range of mountains that ran along the area Larson suspected to be the underground tunnel.

"Agent Campbell you heard the man, get me a closer look at that mountain range."

"Yes, sir." The agent replied as he began tapping away on his laptop, while the rest of us watched the satellite shift around the earth and locate the specified coordinates.

"Hey! Is this where the party is?" I heard Carter say as him and Brice made their way aboard the plane.

"There you fuckers are, finally!" Vance called out, letting out a heavy breath.

"Good to see you boys." I brought each of them in for a hug.

"So, do we have an idea where this cockroach is hiding at yet?" Brice asked.

After we brought Carter and Brice up to speed, we started to prepare for takeoff while the agent controlling the satellite searched for any movement in the last forty-eight hours near the mountain range.

Just before one of the flight staff moved to close the door for takeoff we heard a loud booming voice enter the plane. "Now you didn't think I was going to let you assholes have all the fun, did you?" Hudson announced, giving Carter a high five before coming to stand in front of me. "No fucking way I'm letting you go after that piece of shit without me brother, I owe you that much after what you did for me." He shook my good hand before slapping me on the back and sitting down across from me to buckle up for takeoff.

"I appreciate it, brother. I hope I didn't interrupt your trip. I don't want that fireball, Presley to be pissed off at me."

"You should know better than that man, she cares about Kiera, too, and wants nothing more than to get her back here where she belongs, with you."

"Thank you man, and thank that beautiful woman of yours for me."

He nodded, putting his seatbelt on. "I will."

After we were in the air, we all unbuckled our seatbelts and surround the laptop when the agent monitoring it found something. "I’ve got someone entering the premises, sir."

"How long ago?" Larson questioned.

“Looks like no more than twenty-four hours ago, and about six hours after Miss Watson was taken." The agent informed him.

"Okay, now let's all watch how he gets in that way we know where our point of entry will be." Vance suggested.
