“I’m surethere are other competent doctors in the town we passed on the wayin.”
She scoffed. “Yeah,right. I’m starting to know you now. You checked out Oliviathoroughly.”
“You can’tbe too careful.” There was a slight tilt to his lips. “Itake care of my own.”
“You gooverboard.”
“Perhaps.”He turned her to face him. “Does that bother you?”
Lifting a hand, sheplaced it on his cheek. “I think it’s cute and I love thefact that you want to take care of me.”
“I want todo some of that right now.” Turning his face, he kissed herpalm. “Let’s go in, shall we?”

He kept himself undercontrol. He retrieved their cases from the back seat and led herinside where there was a fire flowing in the hearth. He’d sentword ahead to make sure that the place was clean and there was enoughfirewood to last for the week. He’d also brought enough food sothey wouldn’t have to shop.
“Go on upstairsand make yourself comfortable. I’m going to make some tea.”
“And aslice of that cake.” She called down from the third step.
“Haven’tyou had enough?”
“Nope.”She told him with a laugh. Sending him a flirtatious look, she wentthe rest of the way with him staring after her. With a shake of hishead, he turned into the kitchen and put the pot on.
Upstairs, Chantelleprepared for the night. She’d brought with her some sexylingerie Monique had included in the package that’d been sentto her. She hadn’t included them in the case she’dpacked, but had placed them into her huge pocketbook.
Going into thebathroom, she washed her face and brushed her teeth. Next, she tookoff her clothes and folded them neatly in the space saver. She tookup the black transparent lace and studied the design for a secondbefore sliding it over her head.
Going to stand infront of the small mirror, she noticed the sharp contrast to hercaramel complexion. She’d gotten rid of her panties and couldsee her flesh clearly through the lace. With a seductive smile, sheturned and headed out, just as she heard him coming into the bedroom.
He stopped abruptlyas she stood there framed inside the doorway. The light from thebathroom was glaring and showed that she was completely naked underthe lace. He felt the trembling of his hands and, with deliberatemovements, went to place the tray next to the bed.
"What do youthink?" She asked him sweetly.
"I think the teaand cake will have to wait. Come here."
She did and wasprepared to be hauled into his arms, instead he held her carefully.
"New?"
"Hmm. Part ofthe honeymoon package."
"There’smore?"
"A red one and anude silk."
"All of themthis revealing?"
"This is themost." She told him.
"I love it. Toobad it’ll have to go." He slid the thin straps over hershoulders and the material dropped to her feet. "I didn’tcarry you across the threshold.
"You didn't."
"Let's remedythat, shall we?" He lifted her effortlessly and carried her outof the room and crossed the doorway. Winding her arms around his neckshe laughed softly as he walked back in and placed her on the bed."I’ll be quick."
"There’sno hurry." She murmured as she watched him removed his clothing.
