The bottom of her stomach gave way.

She rushed through her apartment and ran into the guest bathroom. Falling to her knees in front of the toilet, she made it just in time for the contents of her stomach to make their reappearance.

“Are you okay?” Sofie asked from the doorway.

Alana wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.

No, she was far from okay.

She had mistaken Jaxon for London.

She had done something horrible. She’d assumed he’d went back to his old ways, and hadn’t even given him a chance to explain.

“I made a mistake,” she cried out, her vision blurred with tears.

“Here, let’s get you cleaned up, and then you can call London.” Sofie came into the small bathroom and helped her up off the floor.

“He probably won’t speak with me,” Alana sniffed.

“You won’t know unless you try.”

London walked into his bedroom, wrapping a towel around his waist. The hot shower had helped relax his weary muscles.

All he wanted to do was get in the bed and sleep.

He hadn’t been able to rest much. All he could see when he closed his eyes was Alana, standing in her doorway with tears in her eyes.

He didn’t know what he had done to cause her to break up with him. He had pored over everything he could think of.

He grimaced when he remembered the leaked videos and photos on his company’s social media pages. He’d had to reprimand the young guy who was in charge of Primetime’s online accounts.

The videos and photos hadn’t been professional.

That was the only thing he could think of that had possibly set Alana off.

But it wasn’t horrible. So they’d gone to a strip club. It was unfortunately part of his job when dealing with rich celebrities.

London exhaled and sat on the edge of his bed. Picking up his phone, he saw he had a missed call from Alana.

Before he could hit her number, Jaxon’s picture came across the screen. London hit the accept button.

Sighing, he answered the call with, “What is it?”

“Well, hello to you too, big brother,” Jaxon chuckled.

“What do you want, Jax?”

Standing, he finished drying himself off and snagged a pair of basketball shorts off his bed. Throwing them on, he walked over and hung the towel on the hook.

“Have you met your neighbors?” Jax asked.

London frowned and walked out of his bedroom. His body was already starting to ache. He had completed a brutal workout, trying to tire himself out.

“Yeah, I have. Why?”

Jogging down the stairs, he headed toward the kitchen, trying not to think of the weekend he had brought Alana here, where he’d taken her in pretty much every room.

Entering the kitchen, his gaze landed on the large island.
