“But the press conference.” Her teeth sank further into her lush bottom lip. “I was going to go with Ally.”

“I’ll have Zack swing by to pick her up.”

“I don’t know.”

“I do know.”

I curled my fingers around her upper arms and eliminated all the space between our bodies. In this house, when we were together and when our bodies were joined, there was no indecision. I wanted her with me all the time, and for there to be no indecision wherever we were.

“I need you with me. I want to run some things about the contract by you.”

“I’m just a fan. Your fan.” She blushed. “I really don’t know very much about football.”

“That’s okay. It’s more generalities that I want to discuss.” I hit her with all the earnestness inside me. It was peaking like a certain part of me. “I value your opinion, E.”

“Okay.” She nodded.

My heart that she owned surged into my eyes. “Great.”

“I just need to go tell Ally that there’s been a change of plans.” She gestured.

“I’ll talk to her.”

“Are you sure?” Electra asked, her brow creasing.

“Why wouldn’t I be?” I tilted my head.

“She and Zack don’t exactly see eye to eye. “

That was news to me. “Why is that?”

“I’m not sure, not exactly.” Electra glanced away.

I got the idea she did know, but I didn’t press. Not because I didn’t want to know, but because time was too short.

“Well, Zack is my best friend and she’s my daughter,” I said firmly. “I’ll lay things out with her and call him. I’ll meet you downstairs.”

“All right.” Nodding, Electra went up on her toes and placed a chaste kiss on my cheek that didn’t do chaste things to me.

I wanted to lift her, pin her to the wall, split that skirt, and sink my cock in her, but unfortunately that was going to have to wait.

“See you downstairs.” She slipped past me, leaving her orange and jasmine fragrance behind.

My cock throbbing, I slipped my phone out of my jacket pocket and punched in Zack’s number.

“Yo, Champ,” Zack said, answering on the first ring. “What’s up?”

A shit ton. I started with my daughter. “What’s the deal between you and Ally?”

“No deal.” His voice deepened. “Why do you ask?”

“She’s my daughter,” I said, giving it to him straight.

“She’s your what?” His voice went the opposite end of the scale like someone had kneed him in the balls.

“You heard me.” Without embellishing, I explained. “I had a girlfriend in high school. I was led to believe the pregnancy was terminated, but it wasn’t. Ally is mine.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” He sounded disgruntled, maybe even hurt.
