I shook my head, padding around the tub, trying to find my gown. “Did you take my cover up?” I snapped, whirling on them.

Both looked completely confused. Liam, to his credit, got up and helped me look but the robe was gone. Travis leaned over the side of the tub, staring down.

“I think it fell through the cracks,” he said.

I knelt, peering down between the boards. There was my pink silk robe, lying in the dirt down below, far out of my reach.

Fuck.

“That had my room key in the pocket,” I said, sniffing.

“Have the front desk make you another,” Travis said.

“Yeah, it’s okay,” said Liam. “Let me get my shirt for you and walk you in.”

They could both tell I was upset and they were being too nice. For some reason, that made me even more angry. If it wasn’t for Merrick, I would have let these men kiss me and buy me drinks until I was brave enough to let them put their hands under my clothes.

After all, Osian was back home sleeping with anyone he pleased.

Why shouldn’t I?

“No,” I snapped. “Merrick has my extra room key in his wallet.”

I whirled and marched to the upper deck. Every line of my body was exposed, the pink velvet stuck to my breasts.

Every single man fell silent as I strode by them. I could feel my bikini bottom riding up my ass. The only thing it was successfully covering right now was my pussy.

No one said a word, but of course they didn’t.

Fucking Merrick.

The front doors to the lodge swung open and I marched through. Wading my way through the sea of suits and ties. If I hadn’t been tipsy, I’d never have had the courage to walk into a roomful of business men barely clothed.

But right now, it felt like the perfect fuck you.

Merrick was at the bar, his back to me. As I drew closer, the chatter died down around me and heads turned. Gazes dragged over my body. Confusion and little flickers of desire moved through the sea of eyes.

Vincent saw me first and he elbowed Merrick hard.

“What is…” Merrick said, turning.

I walked right up to the Welsh King and he looked down at me and his mouth parted. His face changed slowly, going completely blank except for his eyes. Those burned like blue flame. Fixed on me, a crease deepening between his brows.

Shadow crossed his face and a flicker of anger came with it. Like a storm just breaking over the horizon.

I tilted up my chin, holding out my palm.

“Room key, please,” I said sweetly.

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

MERRICK

I felt Vincent’s elbow dig into my ribs, cutting my conversation short. I turned abruptly, annoyed.

“What is….”

Before I could finish my sentence, I saw what everyone was staring at.
