“Angel and Morrigan?” Roman demanded, grabbing the remote and hitting the green button as he walked to the screen.

Abel nodded his head at the video feed now playing. “Yep. Watch.”

Roman was concerned Morrigan was kicking ass and doing what he had told her not to do: hurt Angel. But within moments, he learned he was wrong. “Whoa...”

“Is it wrong to be really turned-on right now?”

Roman turned to his brother with a scowl. “You’re gay!” he snapped.

Luca shrugged, his gaze pinned to the scene on the monitor. “Maybe I used to be. But not anymore.”

Salvatore nodded vigorously. “I agree, babe. Who knew, huh?”

“Those women are dynamite,” Abel added, just as riveted.

Roman didn’t answer. He was too busy adjusting his stiff cock where it was pressing uncomfortably against the metal of his zipper. “Keep your eyes off Angel.”

“I’m trying. But it’s a little hard when she’s matching one of the best assassins in the world blow for blow,” Abel told him.

Roman acknowledged that. Angel’s form wasn’t as good as Morrigan’s, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t as effective. She was fast and sneaky and totally without fear. It was just the combination needed to defend against any foe.

She was a study in contradictions, he thought, watching her execute a body roll after being thrown to the mats. There was something inherently vulnerable about her, but she also had a take-no-prisoners mindset. She spent her days healing people and was compassionate beyond measure. Yet, he could tell she had no issue with inflicting pain when it was necessary. Proving his point, she grabbed Morrigan by the hair, wrenching her head back.

“Is there nothing this woman can’t do?” he wondered out loud.

“Commit,” Abel replied blandly.

Roman heard the bite in his friend’s tone. “Scusa?”

Abel held up his hands. “I agree with you—she’s the full package. But there’s something about her, Roman... She’s a flight risk.”

“I thought you liked her,” Luca accused angrily.

“I do like her. Very much,” Abel promised. “More than I like most people on the planet. I’m just being honest.”

Roman knew his family had his best interests at heart, so he held up a hand for silence before they could start bickering. “I know she’s a flight risk. I see it.”

Abel nodded. “You’ve been patient, but it’s been over six months since she first got under your skin. It could take another six months. Are you willing to keep being patient?”

“For Angel?” He already knew the answer to that. “Yes.”

Ten minutes later, Abel left with the Super Mario Brothers as Roman continued to chat with Luca and Sal. That was, until he heard Angel knock and ask if she could come in. Panicking, he ordered, “Get in the closet.”

“The closet?!” Sal exclaimed. “Do you know how long it took me to come out of the closet? Now you want me to go back in?”

“Stop trying to be the comic relief. We both know that’s Abel’s job,” Roman replied, pushing Sal in the direction of his large walk-in closet.

“Why exactly are we going into the closet?” Luca asked in amusement.

“Because!” Roman clipped out. He wasn’t about to tell them he was still sexually aroused from watching Angel fight and he was hoping for at least a kiss before she left. Fighting had a way of stirring the juices. Perhaps she was feeling stirred. But his brother and his best friend were sure to ruin the mood.

Salvatore snorted and snickered, allowing himself to be shoved into the closet. “Oh, this is kind of romantic,” he said, snuggling Luca in the darkness.

“Quiet,” Roman hissed, hearing Angel knock again.

Sal’s hands stopped wandering, and he grimaced. “Wait... you haven’t jerked off in here as well, have you?”

Roman planted his palm over Salvatore’s face and pushed. He slammed the door shut, grinning happily when he heard cursing and the crashing of coat hangers from beyond the door. He walked to the office door, quickly opening it. “Angel. Hi.”
