She has no idea how beautiful she is.

Olivia rivaled every celebrity, model, and influencer I’d ever laid eyes on, and I didn’t understand how men didn’t just fall at her feet. She was the perfect mixture of delicate and dorky—and sexy. It wouldn’t be long before someone would snatch her up...

And the thought caused me to exit out of the app.

I need to stop this shit.

I opened the top drawer of my desk and dropped my phone into it—but not before turning it on silent. Ever since Olivia and I had hooked up, and then proceeded to pretend like nothing had happened, I’d been in the worst mood of my life. Everything she did got under my skin, and I had no fucking idea why...

It would only be a matter of time before Owen caught onto it. I was amazed that Olivia hadn’t confided in him yet, but she was keeping her distance from the two of us. It was still driving Owen crazy, though he had chilled out a bit after he found out she was just hanging with Zena.

“Mr. Whiss, Julio Bradford is here to see you,” Brittany chirped over the speaker in my office. “Can I send him back?”

“Yeah, of course.” I straightened my tie, gathering my thoughts as I leaned back in my chair. I was losing my edge, and it was all her fault.

Dad was so right.

Though it was on me for not being able to shake her.

“Hey, man,” Julio greeted me, his perfect teeth glinting under the sunlight coming through the window. He was one of my top clients, an independent artist with a large following. He had more swag than I ever could, effortlessly pulling off a pair of faded jeans and a black Henley.

“What’s up? I didn’t have you on the schedule.” I cleared my desk, which desperately needed to be dusted.

“Yeah, yeah. Sorry about that. I was in the neighborhood, and I was thinking about some future projects.”

“Ah yeah, okay. I have some time this afternoon if you wanna go over some stuff. You got new music coming out?” I grabbed up a notepad, ready to jot down some notes. Julio was the kind of guy who was extremely specific about what he wanted—and I had learned to never argue. He had a plan, he represented himself, and I made sure to deliver every time.

“Yeah, that would be great...” His voice trailed off, and the hesitancy caused me pause.

“Something wrong?”

“Nah, not at all. I was just wondering if you wouldn’t mind bringing in Olivia Gray? She works here, right? I heard some kickass shit about her, and I just wanna see what she might think about some of my ideas.”

I gritted my teeth, trying to come up with any reason that Olivia wouldn’t be able to join the meeting—but there was none. She was just outside in the main office. “I’ll have Brittany grab her.”

“Dude, that’d be amazing. I spoke with some guys from Harlee’s team, and she’s apparently got the mind of a genius when it comes to writing out scenes and shit. I need that kind of talent in my life.”

I hit the intercom button. “Hey, Brittany?”

“Yes?”

“Will you send Olivia to my office?”

“Absolutely.”

“Thanks.” I leaned back in my chair, resting my elbows on each of the armrests.

“I can’t wait to hear what she comes up with.” Julio beamed, nodding his head, excitement written all over his face.

“Are you sure her style will fit yours?” I questioned, trying to sound as nonchalant as possible. “She tends to be highly opinionated about what she thinks will work best for a project. You tend to also be very opinionated as well. I just want you to get exactly what you want.”

He raised a brow at me. “Do you not like her style?”

“Well, I—”

“Good morning,” Olivia greeted with a smile on her face as she stepped into my office. I fought the urge not to rake my eyes over her trim body, the tight pencil skirt accentuating her tiny waist and perfectly rounded hips.

Julio quickly rose to his feet and extended his hand for her to shake. “I’m Julio Bradford.”
