Something in my gut was telling me I needed to check for something. I locked eyes with Rome, and he nodded, sensing the same thing I was.

We both stood and then jumped on him. Rome held his arms back while I raised his shirt, and low and behold, there was a wire taped to his chest.

“Son of a bitch.” Was murmured by every club member.

“We can’t kill the bastard,” Asher grumbled. “Fuck it, Priest, get this pig off our property. Pipe, you, and Coal go through his room, go through every fucking thing and if you don’t find anything, then box his shit and toss it over the fucking gate.” The gavel was slammed down as Priest hauled Tanner out of the room while he was shouting at us and cursing us every name under the sun.

We all followed them out as everyone in the main room stopped what they were doing to take the scene in.

My eyes trailed through the room, looking for her. And when my eyes landed on her, fucking hell. She was fucking stunning.

She was still wearing that coverup over her bikini, and I wanted to throw her over my shoulder, take her far, far away where there were no prying eyes to see her smooth tanned skin.

But it wasn’t what she had on that had me thinking she was stunning.

No, it was the way she smiled down at that same little girl that belonged to Gravel, the same one that had fallen down.

I turned and followed Coal down the hallway, but stopped and looked back into the room, just now realizing that when I walked out of church, my eyes hadn’t even looked for Rebecca. She hadn’t even been on my mind. But now, my eyes scanned it for my wife. Not seeing her, I stopped a club girl that was walking past me into the kitchen and asked, “The woman, the one with the sleek hair, fake as fuck rich ass, you know where she went?”

She nodded. “Yeah, she spoke to Stella after her phone rang and said she had to go because of a headache.”

I nodded my thanks, then followed Coal to the room the prospects used and went through Tanner’s room.

Sure enough, there were journals and recordings of shit he shouldn’t have.

Chapter 3

Gabby

After Priest had hauled one of the prospects out of the clubhouse, the one named Tanner, I smiled at Alec, who walked over to me holding onto his kutte and his new patches. When he asked me to help him, I nodded.

“Follow me to my room. I've got my sewing kit in there.”

After I had the prospect one off, and then his three new patches on the kutte, I held it up and helped him put it on.

Seeing the patch, I smiled, “Pagan. I like it.”

He nodded, then asked, “Wanna be my congratulations present?”

I tossed my head back and laughed. “Not going to waste any time, are you?”

He shook his head then bit his lip. I tapped his bottom lip then shook my head and told him, “I’m off the rest of the afternoon, and after the cookout I’m watching the kids.”

He nodded then and strode for the doorway while I put everything away, but he stopped and said, “You’re something else, Gabby. Admire you, darlin’.”

I smiled and nodded.

After everything was put away, I walked out of my room. Thankfully, my bikini had time to dry, and I still had on my cover-up.

I walked through the main room of the clubhouse and out to the back courtyard where Adeline, Lizette, and Sutton were sitting still in their bikinis while holding glasses of margaritas.

When Sutton saw me, she smiled and grabbed the other margarita that was resting on the arm of my chair and waved me over.

Taking off my cover-up, I settled into the lounger and took a grateful sip of the delicious goodness.

That was when the gabbing between women started, “I swear, there is one man I want. Well, make that three of them.” Lizette said.

Settling into my lounge chair fully, I asked, “Who?”
