Everyone cheers, hooting and hollering, doing happy dances for me and my boy.

Dino nudges my ribs. "Can I jump in, Daddy?"
I stare into his eyes, my heart stuttering in my chest.
I don't know how I got so lucky to get a pretty angel like Dino in my life.

Isabella and her girl toy laugh. "You’d better let Dino jump in before he rams another inserter up his hole."

"He shoves your foreign object… up his ass," Isabella drawls, wrapping her fingers around her girlfriend’s hand.
I tilt Dino’s chin up and kiss him. "Yes, boy. I’ll join you in a heartbeat."
Dino strips off his clothes and runs into the bouncy house with Giosuè, Faro and Jericho.
They all bounce, laughing as they bob in the air.
On the count of three, they all take one huge leap—and soar through the air into the swimming hole.
Splash.
Dino’s wet head pops up. "Come in, Daddy. The water’s warm."
Faro’s head pops up next to Dino’s. "That’s because of me."
I turn to my loving family and roar with laughter.
Why not join them?
Life’s too short to sit on the sidelines—even when you’re past the retirement age like me.
Me and the other Daddies rush into the bouncy house. We kick our shoes off and bounce up and down.
"Watch out," Xavier grouses. "You’d better not bonk me with your knee."
I take all their hands in mine. "To the swimming hole."
We do what our beautiful boys did.
We soar through the air, then crash land with an epic splash.
Water shoots through the treetops, then cascades onto the forest floor, flooding everything.
