“But Daddy needs to smile and not get frustrated, so where is Daddy?” No pranks at work since Daddy didn’t do naughty things for work.

Daddy was a good Daddy and liked rules and contracts, and oh, there he was.

“Oh, Daddy.” He needed to be safer online and on his phone. “That was too easy, Daddy. That wasn’t even a game.”

Yep, Daddy needed to be safer if I could find him that fast.

“Well, if I found you this fast, Daddy, then Eddie would’ve found all your naughty things without even trying.” Yep, Austin didn’t need to worry about Daddy because Daddy didn’t even have a password on his phone andeveryapphe had was sharing his location.

“Oh, Daddy.” Shaking my head, I was glad to see that he was heading to his house, but I was sad that it was so easy to see he was going to his house. “I’ll keep you safe, Daddy.”

He didn’t even have a one-two-three-four password.

Not even his birthday.

“Daddy.” Shaking my head, I told myself I’d make him safer later because it was time to make him laugh now.

Laugh first.

Lecture later.

“Happy thoughts. Happy thoughts.” If Eddie got to roar, then Daddy needed to roar too.

It was too easy making Daddy’s phone roar but making him smile didn’t have to be hard. I’d do something to show him I was really smart later. “Funny now. Smart later.”

My tummy was starting to rumble as I sent the special selfie to Daddy, so as soon as it was off to make magic, I hopped into the kitchen. “Bunny salad for a funny bunny.”

It was going to have the bunny’s favorite foods, so I started with yogurt. The frozen kind, of course, because everyone knew that was the best. Then it got a banana and strawberries from the jar that tasted so yummy on everything. It wasn’t just for ice cream no matter what people tried to say.

“There’s Daddy.” Giggling, I read the happy message that he’d sent back that said I was so cute he couldn’t wait to cuddle his bunny.

But nothing else, so I bounced back to my office and found him again. “Almost home.”

Daddy must’ve looked at his phone when he was stopped at a light, so I knew I had to be patient. But that was hard, so I went back to making my bunny salad.

Bouncing was hard work, so I knew I needed to add a few more things to help the bunny stay strong. “Oh, the bunny needs something crunchy too. Bunnies like crunchy things.”

Decorating it with coconut and tiny chocolate chips that were so cute made it perfect and all done. But I couldn’t bounce back to my computer without making a mess, so I walked very carefully.

No hopping with a bunny salad or bunny desserts.

I was amazing.

And Daddy was smart because he called me as soon as he got home. “Is my little bunny feeling mischievous?”

I almost managed not to giggle but I didn’t think he heard. “You said I was your cute bunny, Daddy.”

That wasn’t a lie.

I was so smart.

Daddy coughed but I could hear he wanted to laugh. “You wouldn’t happen to know why all the notifications on my phone seem to be dragon roars, do you?”

“Dinosaurs can be big or small.” That wasn’t a lie either. “Did you know there were tiny dinosaurs, Daddy?”

Daddy’s sigh made me want to giggle but I covered it up better that time. “Yes, I think I heard about that.”

“Do you think there could be tiny dragons too or just big ones?” I wasn’t sure. “Would big dragons eat little dragons? That doesn’t sound very nice. Would little dragons roar too?”
