“Don’t lie to me, Maya. You think about me the same way I think about you.”

I reach down and grab her waist, pulling her against me. A surprised gasp escapes her as she grabs my arms to steady herself. Her nipples are hard as they press against my chest.

“I can practically smell your arousal, baby,” I murmur, leaning down until my nose is nuzzling her neck. She lets her head fall back, and I nip at her sweet flesh with my teeth, licking over the hurt with the tip of my tongue. Her breathing quickens, and her nipples get even harder, if that’s fucking possible.

She actually wants me. I thought she was so mad at me about last night that she wouldn’t let me touch her again.

And I’mreallysurprised when she whispers, “please.”

My dick hardens. I used to love when she begged.

“Please what?” I kiss her neck, slowly and tenderly, gently sucking on her skin in the hopes of bruising it. “What do you want, Maya?”

You.

That’s what I want her to say. That’s what I’ve wanted her to tell me ever since I got her back, but when we’re interrupted by Vic clearing his damn throat, I’m furious.

I whirl around to face him. I’m so livid I could gut him where he stands.

“What the hell do you want?” I growl, stalking towards him. Maya steps in front of me to keep me from slaughtering him.

He tries to look serious, but I note the glimmer of amusement in his eyes. “I just wanted to know if the two of you were joining us for lunch.”

I know this bastard didn’t just interrupt my moment with my girl to ask me about his favorite time of the day.

I push Maya out of the way, and she falls on the couch with a startled yelp. Vic notes the movement and stiffens as he steps up to me.

“That wasn’t very nice, hermano,” he says darkly, his voice threatening death.

I take a deep breath.

I really hate this guy. If it wasn’t for his ties to his cartel, I wouldn’t even bother with him.

“Let me make one thing clear to you,Victor,” I spit, “what I do with Maya is none of your concern. And I don’t appreciate being bothered over what we’re going to have for lunch.”

He smirks, the asshole. “One: I asked if you would be joining us for lunch, notwhat we’re having for lunch. And two: what you do with Maya will always be my concern.”

Vic looks over at her and winks. She gives him a small smile, but when she sees me glaring at her, she quickly hides her face.

“So. Lunch?”

I pin him with a glare.

“We ordered Chinese.” He grins again when the vein in my forehead starts to make an appearance.

“So I guess you want to die,” I say heatedly. “Do you want me to kill you?”

He just shrugs.

“If Maya’s hungry, we’ll have lunch in my bedroom. If not, she’s still going to be in my bedroom.”

He nods, never taking his eyes off me. “If that’s what she wants.”

I swear to God—

“That’s not a problem, actually,” she interrupts, looking at me. “We still need to talk.”

Vic nods. I don’t miss the disappointment that flashes across his face. “If that’s what you want, then I’m okay with it.”
