She smiled up at him, her eyes bright with joy. “More than ready to spend the rest of my life with him.”

Charles grinned and spotted Jessica sitting up front with Roger and remembered how Jessica had sworn no matter what, she was going to make this her last and best marriage.

Charles didn’t outright believe her, but he had hope in his heart that she’d finally be happy.

He knew Summer would be for the rest of her life. Because when she loved, she loved big and with her whole heart. And she had found someone who did the same for her.

When he set her up to meet her father, he had no idea he’d also brought the love of her life into her lonely world.

Yes, he took credit for that, too.

Why wouldn’t he? What wouldn’t he give to make his Ladybug happy?

So when the officiant asked who gave this woman, he had no trouble answering, “He stole her from me.” A collective gasp went up from the guests. But Summer only smiled. “But if he makes her happy, I’ll let him keep her.”

Cody took Summer’s hand and leaned into him. “I’ll never let her go. And I will always do my best to make her happy.”
