Coming out of the restroom, I see Kade up against the wall. I smile, knowing exactly what I’m going to do. I look out through the doorway and don’t see signs of the guys.

Perfect.

Walking right up to Kade, I get up on my toes, pull his head down, and lock his lips to mine. I may not be the best at physical affection, but I know I like kissing these boys. And just like the last kiss, I barely get anywhere before Kade takes complete control over me.

His lips devour mine until I forget how to breathe. He runs his hands down my sides until they stop at my hips, and I whimper. Embarrassed about the noise I made, I pull away from the kiss. Humiliated, I try to turn away, but Kade has other plans. He grabs my hand and turns me back around.

“Don’t be embarrassed, Paisley Girl. I love all the sounds you make. Give me every single one of them. I’ll take them all,” whispers Kade.

Then his mouth is back, capturing my lips with his. We stay like that, kissing each other breathless, until we hear someone clear their throat. We break apart, and we see that Luca is waiting in the doorway.

I step away from Kade, embarrassed yet again. Except this time we were caught, and by one of his brothers, no less!

“Come on, you two. We’ve been waiting. Atlas paid the bill and we want to get back on the road,”Luca signs with a grin on his face.

When Luca turns back around, Kade and I follow him outside to the car. Mateo is already waiting in the back of the car, so Luca and Kade get in next to him while I take my seat in the front again. Once we are all settled, Atlas revs the car up and turns back onto the road.

CHAPTER41

ATLAS

Drivingfor eight-plus hours is exhausting, but I would do it all over again if it was for Paisley. I’d do anything for the girl I love.

Love.

That’s a fickle word. I can’t believe I admitted that to myself still. I’m afraid I’ll scare her if I tell her, so I decide to keep it quiet for now. Hopefully more time is all she needs. I can tell that while she trusts us, she is still scared at times.

Finally, we get to the camping store that we found online when looking for somewhere to stop before getting to the mountain area where we plan to start the hike. Dick’s Sporting Goods inside some random town mall was the best thing we could find that had decently priced items. We didn’t want to get low-end items that wouldn’t hold up to the cold, yet we didn’t want to get the expensive stuff for a camping trip that’s only one night. It didn’t make sense.

Parking, I unbuckle and look at the guys. They know the plan is to not let Paisley out of sight. While we don’t believe anything will happen, I don’t want to take the risk, and neither do they. She means too much to us.

“Okay, we are just getting some camping gear, and Paisley, you are getting some clothes to get you through tonight and some clothes for tomorrow, okay? Mateo and Luca are going to go with you while Kade and I get the gear,” I say.

We split up, and Kade and I head over to the camping area. He and I are debating between one big tent or two tents before I put my foot down.

“One big tent. That’s final. I don’t want her to be separated from us more than she has to be until after her birthday. I just want her to be safe, and having one tent will keep her more protected!” I basically yell at him, glad we are far enough away from the other three that they can’t hear us.

“I understand where you are coming from, but what do you thinkshewants? What if she wants a tent to herself? What if she wants her privacy?” Kade replies.

“Okay, I see your point. We can just ask her once she gets done clothes shopping. That way we do what she wants, even if it bothers my protective side,” I reply as I check out the sleeping bags.

PAISLEY

“Guys, I don’t need anything for tomorrow. I can just wear this,” I tell them.

“Mi amor, we are getting you clothes. You literally came with nothing but the clothes on your back. Let us take care of you. We want to. It makes us happy. So please?” Mateo asks.

I really don’t like them buying stuff for me. Breakfast was a different story, but I look at the guys and I know that I won’t win this battle. They are both giving me a look. One that says I might as well give up because they are going to win this no matter what.

Exasperated, I throw my hands up in the air and turn around and walk away from them. I head towards the women’s section and start picking out some clothes. I grab an assortment of clothes to get me through tonight and tomorrow.

“Okay, I got everything I need for tonight and tomorrow,” I say as I turn around.

I look over at the guys, who each have a stack of clothes piled up in their arms.

“Why?” I ask them both.
