“We’re going to save them.” And he’d finally take down this fucker Kozlov in the process.

Bram looked at Killian.

“The jet is being fueled,” Killian said. “We can be there in a few hours.”

“I’ll have SUVs waiting for you when you land.” Hex spun. “Addie’s parents’ place is on the outskirts of a small town called—”

“Hickory Ridge,” Addie said.

Hex nodded. “To get eyes and ears, we’ll need a drone in the air. I’m coming.”

“I’m coming, too.” Shade pushed away from the wall where he’d been standing.

Devyn nodded. “With me, Killian, Bram, Matteo, and Nick, plus Shade, we can easily neutralize this guy.”

“Hadley is going to be mad she missed out on the action,” Hex said.

Devyn looked at Addie. “I promise we’ll do everything we can to get your parents out safely.”

“Let’s get to the airport,” Killian ordered. “Grab whatever gear you need.”

Hex whirled, snatching up a padded case and setting it on the desk. When she opened it, Bram saw the high-tech drone nestled inside.

“I’m coming too,” Addie said.

“What?” Bram spun and resisted the urge to shake her. “No. It’s too dangerous.”

“He’s afterme.” Her face was set in serious lines. “You might need me to talk to him, or lure him out—”

“No.”

She straightened. “Bram, we have no idea what will happen. These are myparents. It’s because of me that they’re in danger.”

He pressed a palm to her belly. “You have other lives to protect.”

Her face softened. “I know. I’m not suggesting I charge into the fight, but I need to come.”

He looked at the floor, gut churning. He wanted her safe, and very, very far away from Ilya Kozlov. Several states away worked for him.

She pressed her palms to his chest. “Bram.”

Fuck. He couldn’t say no. And she was right, they might need her. “You’ll stay on the jet.”

She nodded. “Absolutely.”

“You’re not goinganywherenear Kozlov.”

“I won’t.”

Bram pulled her in for a hard kiss, then pressed her to his chest. Her arms wrapped around him, and they held each other tight. “I’ll get your parents out.”

“I know,” she murmured. “I trust you. But be careful, Bram. All of you.” She met his gaze. “You come back to me. To us.” She touched her belly.

Throat tight, he nodded.

“Let’s move,” Killian said.

The room exploded in a rush of activity. All the Sentinel Security team knew how to prepare for missions. They’d done it too many times to count. Hex packed her electronic gear while the rest of them loaded duffel bags with weapons, vests, and gear.
