Moments later, the letter was delivered. Bram tore the white envelope open.
There were words and letters cut out from a newspaper, and stuck in the center of the white paper.

Molten rage poured through Bram. His anger was white hot.
“Bram?” Addie stated.
He handed the note to Killian and his boss scowled.
“I want to see it.” Addie strode forward.
“No,” Bram said.
“Yes.” She took it, read it, and all the color left her cheeks. “You were the target. He wants to kill you because of me. This is all my fault.”
Bram shoved the note at Hex, then pulled Addie close. He cupped her cheeks. “It’s not your fault. This sick fuck is to blame. He’snotgoing to lay a hand on you.”
She grabbed Bram’s wrists. “I don’t want him to hurt you, either.”
“No one is getting hurt,” Killian said.
“Only the asshole,” Devyn said. “Once we find the asshole.”
“Then we’ll shut him down for good.” Killian nodded. “Now, let’s get to work.”
“I’m on the note,” Nick said. “I’ll take it to the lab.”
“I’ll pull CCTV at Farley’s gallery,” Hex said. “See what pops.”
“I’ll talk to Santi,” Bram said. “See if he can get anything off the bomb.”
“I want to help too,” Addie said.
“You should rest,” Bram said.
“No.” She lifted her chin. “I’m not lying around. I’ll just worry. I need todosomething. This ismylife. This man is after me.” She turned. “I’m actually pretty decent on a computer. I did some computer studies at school.”
“I could use you.” Hex caught Bram’s gaze over Addie’s head.
He knew Hex would keep her here, safe. He nodded.
“I promise you it will be boring,” Hex said.
“I don’t care,” Addie said. “I want to help stop this man.”
“I think I’ll visit some friends,” Devyn said. “See if I can scare up some information.”

The center of Bram’s chest tightened. He met Killian’s gaze, held it.
