Atlas looked me up and down but didn’t comment on my statement. “And Savannah?”

I sighed. “What about her, Atlas?” I found it interesting she was asking twenty-one questions about a bitch after she’d pretty much told me I didn’t have a chance in hell with her last night.

“I didn’t see her in the car when you dropped me off.”

Several responses filed through my head before I decided Atlas couldn’t have it both ways. She couldn’t run me off and keep me on a leash at the same time. “What are you asking me?” I played dumb. “If I went home and fucked her after leaving you last night?”

“Yes,” she immediately hissed.

My dick gave a curious twitch, hearing the jealousy in her tone, so I held her gaze as I brought my hand to my erection and squeezed it through my jeans. I was letting him know there was nothing happening.

Atlas had that pussy on lock.

It seemed only one of us remembered, though. I watched as her gaze lowered and lingered on my dick growing against my thigh.

“Why?”

Her gaze shot back up to mine and she gave a guilty startle. “Huh?”

“Why does it matter?” I repeated. I sunk my teeth into my bottom lip and felt my lids lower as I leaned my shoulder against the wall and regarded her across the room. “You don’t want me, remember?”

“Yes, I remember,” she said a little too quickly. I watched her inhale deeply and then slowly exhale. “It matters because I know you still want to fuck me, and I’m not too proud to admit that I’m afraid you might succeed.” She squared her shoulders to make herself appear taller and unyielding. “I can’t be with you if you’re with her.”

I shook my head as I stared at her. “Little girl, why are you playing games with me?”

“I’m not,” she denied defensively.

“You are.”

It wasn’t often I was reminded of her age, but right now was one of those times. She was nineteen to my thirty-five, and I was beginning to wonder if I was crazy for thinking I could throw away the rule book for her.

“I just need to know if I actually mattered to you or if I was just a challenge.”

“You were starting to.” My confession floated in the air between us before dangling over our heads like a sharp ax that would strike at the first wrong move. “I didn’t fuck Savannah last night. She tried to give me head, but I wasn’t feeling the situation, so I dropped her ass off on the curb and left her there to find you.”

Like Atlas, I wasn’t too proud to admit that I was holding my breath as I waited to see how much deeper a hole my honesty would land me in.

Her lips parted and closed a few times before settling on, “Oh.”

I pushed away from the wall, ready to end this conversation since it was going nowhere. “Anything else, Atlas?”

She wrinkled her nose before giving me her back. “Nope. You can go.”

I was tempted to choke her out for dismissing me like she was crazy, but I went upstairs to my office instead.

After giving myself a few days to think about it, I’d decided to accept Harry’s offer and buy the car wash, but first, I wanted to do my due diligence, so I quickly typed an email to my lawyer and accountant and let them both know I needed to speak with their asses expeditiously. I’d call the contractor and inspector who helped us restore the old factory once Paris had a chance to look over the financials and give an okay.

My phone vibrated in my pocket, so I pulled it out and saw I had a new DM on Instagram. Since Atlas wasn’t fucking with me, I clicked on the message out of spite and immediately regretted it as soon as I saw all the messages Savannah had sent me last night and this morning.
