“Damn,” he swore. “Damn.”

Monica pressed kisses from his neck to his shoulder, tasting the salt of his hard-earned sweat as she enjoyed the synchronized, fast tempo of their pounding heartbeats. “My love?” she said as she drew circles in the sweat on his back with her fingertip.

Gabe opened one eye. “Huh?” he asked, his oncoming sleep already deepening his voice further.

“Small and private wedding ceremony?” she suggested innocently, already thinking of the field day the press would have with anything else.

Gabe pressed a kiss to her shoulder, cheek and then mouth before rolling over onto his back. “Short engagement?” he countered.

Monica sat up to reach for the sheet from the floor to pull over their bodies before lying on her side and resting her head on his chest. “Honeymoon in Fiji?” she asked.

He fell quiet and she knew he was thinking of time away from the restaurant and Cress, INC.

“One week or two?”

She bit back a smile. “One,” she said, knowing any time off would be hard for him to handle.

“Nah, two,” he said.

She raised her head to look at him in surprise. “Two?” she said.

He chuckled as he stroked her hair back from her face. “It’s my job to make you happy, future Mrs. Cress,” he said.

She moved to staddle him and grabbed his hand to place them on her breasts. “Then round two, Mr. Cress?” she asked.

His eyes darkened with heat. “Your wish is always my command,” he said with a roguish smile as she lowered her body so they could kiss and begin to give each other a very happy ending.
