That’s not fair.

“I don’t give a fuck about being fair, Teague.” He pushed my thighs farther apart, stretching me as he plunged another finger inside. “Screaming, that’s what I want.”

Fane continued to torment me in the most delicious ways possible until sweat leaked down my temple, and he licked it up. We moved together, and every brush of his bare chest against my breasts sent an electrical current right to my clit. He wasn’t gentle. His phantom hold on my wrists would leave bruises, and even his grip on my neck started to ache.

But I’d never experienced this amount of pleasure or bliss, and I surrendered to all the desire Fane brought out in me. Out of fear or shame, I’d never let anyone else see this side of me. I’d never given anyone this much control, and not a soul had seen me this vulnerable, completely at their mercy.

I didn’t want it to end. I wanted more. Ineededmore.

For the first time, I felt like myself.

I’d already fallen apart beneath Fane three times when his hand left my neck, and his mouth descended in its place. His teeth, sharper than usual, slid over my skin, bringing a line of fire across my body that had me struggling to break out of his grip on my wrists so I could touch him.

“No,” he growled against my hot, damp flesh. “This is what you asked for.” He licked the tattoo he gave me and then bit down, his teeth sinking in.

A scream propelled up my throat just as Fane clamped his hand over my mouth to stop the sound from bursting out. I writhed under him as heavy, intense waves of pleasure hit me, one after the other. My hips bucked against his hand, and I was sure his own feelings of bliss twisted with mine.

My pulse pounded, and everything throbbed for several extended moments before I finally floated back to reality. Warmth leaked down my neck, and blood perfumed the air along with lust and our arousal.

Fane drew away with crimson on his mouth, a droplet falling from his lip ring. His gaze averted from mine.

I shook uncontrollably beneath him, and something hot and consuming flowed through my bloodstream. The room brightened, and the feel of Fane all around me intensified.

“More.”

The moment that one word trickled into Fane’s mind, his eyes snapped to mine, widening. And I knew why. My pupils had thinned into slits, and a luminescent glow radiated from my irises. Just. Like. His.

I finally broke out of his phantom grip and tugged at his boxers. The fabric tore away as if I’d shredded them with sharp talons.

Because I had. Fane grabbed my hand to inspect the onyx claws tipping the ends of my fingers.

A growl, or maybe a wicked purr, vibrated my throat. “You’re not the only monster here.”

Transfixed by the sharp claws I’d grown, Fane lowered his head and sucked my finger into his mouth. Heat pulsated between my legs, and my hips tilted into his hardness. I moaned as his tongue swirled over my digit and then licked the tip of the talon, breaking his skin.

The overwhelming desire had me quivering. “Fane, please,” I begged, the lust turning me desperate.

I couldn’t wait for him any longer. I grabbed the back of his neck and drew him to me. The kiss was rough and tinged with our blood.

But I didn’t mind.

Fane pulled at my underwear, and the fabric began to rip. “This will truly ruin you for anyone else.”

“You ruined me the moment we met.”

A scream suddenly tore through the house, and a voice followed. “There’s a monster outside!”

Fane froze on top of me. “That was Dylan.”

We sprang into action and jumped off the bed. He tossed a hoodie at me and grabbed a pair of shorts, but I was long gone, tearing down the hall before he had them on. Ephraim and Nora darted in front of me and hightailed it to their youngest son.

I turned into my room, snatched one of the transformative weapons Fane chucked into my bag at Corvin Manor, and went to the window.

What the ever-loving hell.

A zubrek sub-demon stood in the yard, his four giant legs digging up the pristine lawn.

I shoved the second-story window open and dove out, tumbling through the air with more ease than ever before. When my bare feet sank into the grass, I slid my thumb over the rune on the hilt, bringing out the sword.
