What he needed was for Miguel and his men to step inside the house. Once they had them surrounded, it would be easy pickings. Rusty and Rip were ready for the distractions. Bull wasn’t happy that this had to take place at his home, though.

William was on the floor, also hiding a gun. Grant had also given Bull a knife to slice through the rope. So long as he didn’t make any sudden movements, this was going to work.

“What’s the matter?” Grant asked. “Are you afraid of a tied man?” He threw back his head and laughed. “I always told you I was going to take the club.”

“You’re an asshole, Grant. He’s not going to let you have the club. You think you’re going to be in charge, but you’re not. You’re going to die, just like me.”

“No, I’m not.” He gritted his teeth.

Miguel stepped inside the house, as did his men. Grant counted six. Six men to come to one house. Why? Grant tried not to overthink that kind of shit. Miguel was known for being paranoid.

“Kill them,” Miguel said. “I have grown bored with this. I want you to shoot his wife, then his child.”

“First, before I do that, I wanted to give you another little present. Over there,” Grant said.

He wanted Miguel on his own, but the guards seemed to move as one. This was not part of the plan. The guards were supposed to cover the door, Miguel moving on his own, checking William, which would allow William to grab Miguel, and for him, Rusty, and Rip, to get the guards.Shit. Fuck.

Grant kept his gun trained on Bull.

“Ah, I see you have finally located Mr. Ranford.” Miguel clicked his fingers and Grant watched as one of the guards was about to hand over the gun to Miguel. He had seen this happen at the trailer park.

“Now!” Grant yelled the word at the same time he fired his weapon, taking out the hands of the guard who was about to give up the gun.

William spun away, drawing his weapon. They were outnumbered, currently. Pat had already swooped in and taken Lindsey.

Miguel tutted. “Grant, you disappoint me.”

“You knew,” Grant said, staring at Miguel, who looked bored.

“Of course I knew.” Miguel smoothed out his suit jacket. “I was hopeful that you would see sense, but all the evidence pointed to you taking your brother’s side.” He tutted.

Grant didn’t like how happy Miguel looked. Something was going on right now, something else was in play.

Rusty and Rip were ready, guns pointed. Bull stood up and stepped in front of Maddie. He reached into Grant’s jeans and pulled out another gun.

“Do you really think my brother would turn on me?” Bull asked.

“I have to admit, I doubted it, but what are you going to do, shoot me?” Miguel asked. “Will that help you get Aria back?”

Grant tensed up.

“Ah,” Miguel said. “You really think a little rumor around town would stop me from taking her, from using her?” Miguel chuckled. “It was all so easy. You kill me, you lose her.”

“But we don’t need your men,” Grant said.

He fired his gun and hit the guards. With him, Bull, Rusty, Rip, Pat, and William, the guards went down fast. There was nowhere for Miguel to run.

Grant threw his gun aside and charged at Miguel who was trying to head for the front door. He grabbed him, spun him around, and landed a blow to his face. He couldn’t stop hitting him.

“Grant, Grant, stop!” Bull grabbed his arm, stopping him.

“He’s got Aria.”

“First, we need to make sure he has Aria. Then we deal with him.”

“Your woman is going to die,” Miguel said. “Carnage will burn to the ground.”
