“I haven’t really had a chance to think about it. Everything is happening so fast.”

“Don’t you worry. I got you, sister.” She smiled. “I envision a mermaid style with a low-cut front and back. You certainly have the figure for it.”

“That sounds great.” I grinned.

“Good. Because I already designed a gown for you the minute Jackson proposed.”

“Stop it. Did you really?”

“I did.” She walked over to her large purse and pulled out her sketch pad. “What do you think?”

“Oh my God, Jenni. It’s beautiful. I love the train.”

“I knew you would.” She winked. “Is there anything you want to change?”

“Not a thing. It’s gorgeous the way it is. Thank you.” I hugged her.

“You’re welcome.”

“I also designed a bridesmaid dress that compliments your wedding dress. Are you ready to see it?”

“Yes. Definitely.”

She flipped the page, and I fell in love with her design.

“It’s perfect. Light pink should be the color.”

“Light pink it is.” She grinned.

Sofia stood there with pouty lips.

“What’s wrong?” I asked her.

“I’m going to look fat in that.”

“Your baby is due in May. You will return to your tiny size the second I pull that baby out of you.” I smirked.

“You think?”

“I know.” I hugged her.

“Have you and Jackson told Barb yet?” Julia asked.

“No. We’ll tell her when she and Curtis return from their cruise tomorrow. I’m happy she’ll be back in time for Ella’s birthday at Disney.”

“Yeah. She’s really looking forward to that.” Julia smiled.

CHAPTER9

Jackson

Nathan told us to be at his house promptly at seven a.m.

“I can’t wait to see the look on Ella’s face when Nathan tells her we’re celebrating her birthday at Disneyland,” I said as I finished shaving.

“She’s going to be so surprised and happy.”

“I can’t believe we got Nathan to agree to let her watch one of my surgeries.”
