“Let’s hope you find something and fast before the women folk wake up and you won’t be able to surprise them,” I turn around to the counter, going after more coffee. I may have worn Kendall out last night, but man she did the same for me. The two of us reached for each other multiple times in the middle of the night. The only thing waking me up this morning was my fucking eternal alarm clock that never lets me sleep in anymore.

“Bingo, there’s a newly listed house, two houses down from this one. Think that the girls can stand to be that far away from each other?” Jake says with a quirk to his eyebrows.

I chuckle, he’s not wrong even when Kendall was hesitant with Larissa at first because of what she did, she moved past it as soon as she met her person to person, and they’ve been glued to the hip ever since, “I think they’ll be fine, is it ready to go look at now?”

“I’m messaging the real estate agent as we speak,” he responds. I hear the tapping on his keyboard, as I finish making my cup of coffee, then grab something to eat from the fridge. “Well, that was easy, she gave me the lock code. So, we can look anytime we want. The pictures alone have me wanting to ‘one-click’ it.”

I laugh it’s what Kendall says when we’re running low on something and doesn’t want to lug the kids around if I’m busy at work.

“I guess we should go look at while the women are asleep.”

“Look at what?” I turn my head, both women are coming down the stairs ready for the day.

“I’ll let Jake explain it to you, Larissa. Kendall you may want to stay and listen also. This was his idea and I’m ready to make it happen too,” I give her a soft kiss on her forehead.

“What are you up to now, Jake Price?” Larissa says, darting around the two of us to get to Jake.

“Well, I thought you’d still be asleep, but here you go ruining my thunder. I’m, well…we’re going to look at a house two doors down from here. If you like it, we’ll buy it as a vacation home. I’m thinking during the Summer months we can stay down here with the kids, even bring in the grandparents too. This house isn’t big enough for all of us, plus this way we won’t be on top of one another either.”

Larissa is beaming brightly. We all know what that means. Jake’s plan is going to come together, and it’ll be happening before we head back home.

“I love that, and I love you, Jake,” she murmurs, then kisses him. Kendall and I look at one another.

“He’s sneaky, huh?” she questions.

“You have no idea,” I respond with a smirk.

“Oh my God, Kendall! We’re going to finally be neighbors!” Kendall announces, leaving my arms, as her and Larissa dance around the kitchen in excitement.

“What if you don’t even like the place?” I question already knowing what the answer will be.

“Who cares as long as we have the view of the ocean?” Larissa replies back, that’s the thing about the four of us, we may have all the money in the world, but we’re all humble.

“I think they’re more excited than we are,” Jake says as the two women start talking about how they’ll be neighbors during the Summer and the kids will get to play with each other more.

“You knew that would happen though.” I shrug my shoulders, it may have been Jake’s idea, but something tells me we’re all going to reap the benefits of this one, and I for one can’t wait.

The End…for real this time, I hope you enjoyed seeing more of Declan and Kendall while also seeing Jake and Larissa. I had a blast giving them extended scenes and whew! The babies they made together. Ha!
