She's such a smartass. "Is he?"

"Yes, total hard-ass. Made me run laps last time." She smirks.

"How about I talk to him, get him to let you off the hook this time. We can tell him there was a very important job that needed taking care of."

She rolls her hips over my hard cock and grins. "A very important job, huh?" She rolls them again, and I pull her down to me, kissing her.

Before I know what's happening, she escapes my grip and jumps from the bed. "Nope, I can't, he won't listen. He's super mean when he's angry too. Better go." She laughs, grabbing her clothes and pulling them on as she runs for the door.

"You're a tease," I call after her.

She blows me a kiss. "See you at practice." She walks from the room. I could just stay here, but I decide to follow her so I can say goodbye properly. Who knows when I'll have her like this again. The rest of the week will be back to our training schedule and our professional relationship.

I throw on some pants and hurry to the front door so I don't miss her. When I get to my driveway, she's standing by her car. Holding a red envelope. The happy smile from before is gone.

"Andy, what's wrong?"

She holds it up. "This was under my windshield wipers."

I join her, taking the envelope from her. Opening it, my heart sinks. She hasn't heard anything from her stalker since her birthday, and I was starting to think maybe it was all over. I think she was as well. But this shows very clearly that it's not.

"What is it?" She nibbles her bottom lip. She knows what it is before she even sees it. "It's from him, isn't it?"

"I'm sorry, Andy, I think so."

She snatches it from me, and I see her eyes go wide as she reads it.

I see you're dancing with the devil, beautiful. Naughty, naughty, I have eyes everywhere, and you need to be careful before you get burned. Breaking the rules might have been your thing in the past, but this time, it will catch up with you. Stop what you're doing or else I will notify Angels management of what has been going on!

"What the fuck even is this?" she snaps angrily. "Is this a threat?"

"Sounds like your stalker has been watching us and is getting jealous. Is there anyone who could be doing this to you? An ex or hook-up that you jaded? Someone who thought there was more going on than there was?"

"I honestly can't think of anyone. Brad, they're going to report you." She looks concerned.

She's right, it looks like that's what they're saying, but I don't think they will. For some reason, I think this is more about messing with Andy than anything else. "It's okay, I don't think that's what they're going to do. And if they do, I'll deal with it. I came into this knowing the consequences, Andy, and I'm okay with it. It's just a job, okay? What we have going on here means more to me than that. It's your safety I'm worried about. If this person is watching you, we need to be more careful."

"I'm not okay with you losing your job because of me, I'm not worth it."

I pull her into me and hold her close. "Well, I think you are. But it's going to be okay. I really don't think they'll say anything about me, and what proof would they have anyway? Anything we've done has been behind closed doors. We just deny all of it. Okay? Trust me, this will all be fine."

That's what I tell her, anyway. On the inside, I'm more worried. I think it's time I look into fixing this so no one has anything to hold against her.

Chapter Fifteen

Brad

An hourafter our Friday-night game, I pull up at Andy's place. She must have been waiting by the door, because she comes running down the driveway so fast and jumps in my car. Jasmine is standing at the door cuddling Nala. Her gaze is narrowed on me with an expression that tells me she's not a hundred percent happy with me taking her sister away for the weekend.

I offer her a wave and turn my attention to Andy. "Are you ready to go?"

"Sure am, let's ditch this town." She laughs. She is glowing from the win and her two goals. I give her a quick kiss then start the car.

I love seeing her like this, all pumped up, still running on the adrenaline. I remember the high well. It's still exciting watching your team win as a coach, but the rush isn't the same.

Andy and I decided this week that we needed to head out of town for a little bit, so we could spend some time together without all the angst of wondering if we're being watched by Andy's stalker or the worry of getting caught by someone on the team. I have seen her anxiety about the situation escalate this week; she needs some downtime where she can relax.

"I'm so excited to have the weekend away. I love San Diego, and the weather is supposed to be perfect." She squeals and claps her hands.
