Taio asked, “He knows so soon?”
She chuckled. “He probably hand-picked the sperm.”
Taio laughed, and the other two still looked dazed and happy.
She looked to Feng. “But we are not telling your grandmother. Ever. She has her omega granddaughters. She doesn’t need another.”
Feng sighed, “Olly...”
“Fine. Don’t tell her before you go off for your fights, and then just... don’t tell her when you get back.”
He moved to her and hugged her.
Benjiro stripped and moved into the bed. He pulled her away from Feng and pushed her robe off her shoulders. “You have had a stressful evening. Rest.”
“You aren’t the boss of me.” She looked up at him.
He chuckled. “If you say so, sweet beta.”
“So, your beast is going to knock me up eventually, too, huh?”
Taio made a surprised sound. “He has a beast?”
“Oh, yes. I can feel it when he touches me, but it is quiet because what it wants, it will have to wait for.” She looked at Benjiro while she spoke.
He smiled. “You may not have finished school, but you are very smart.”
“I still want to do that one day.”
“What?”
“Finish high school. Take some courses. Maybe spend a few years just trying to learn things I am interested in.”
“Like what?” He stroked her back, and she snuggled toward him.
She mumbled against his chest.
“You want to be a large animal vet?”
She nodded. “Over the years, most of the jobs I could do well were at farms and stables. The big animals don’t bother me.”
He made a wise sound. “There is a good vet program at the university half an hour away.”
“I will look into it.”
“We have the students up here frequently. You can definitely sit in on some of the exams.”
“Oh, like preg checks? I am good at those.”
He chuckled. “I will keep that in mind.”
She squirmed against him and draped her knee on the outside of his thigh.
“Olly, what are you doing?”
“I don’t know. But it feels like something I should be doing. Tell me if it’s wrong.”
“I absolutely will not.” He grinned.
