Feng blinked. “But... the kissing was good?”
“Yes.”
“So my hand on your thigh was the problem?”
She grimaced and peeled the fabric away, showing the puncture marks on her thigh. “You popped your claws.”
Feng blinked, and a wave of blue fire rippled over him. “I didn’t even notice.”
She sighed and shrugged. “You didn’t the first time either.”
“Wait. I clawed you the first time?”
“Yeah. My sister is pissed about the marks, too.” She put her hand on her ribs and the curve of her hip. “Under here on either side.”
Benjiro nodded. “You were on your knees.”
Her cheeks were pink. “Yes.”
He rubbed her back and shoulder. “It was the first, not the last. Things will get better.”
The thundercloud over Feng’s head disappeared. He was damp.
Benjiro smiled. “At least Minoru has a hot spring here. We can take a hot soak and relax.”
She grimaced. “I have to stay in the cool pool.”
“Ah, pregnant. Right. Don’t want to poach the tadpole.”
Olly blinked. “Tadpole?”
Benjiro chucked and rubbed her back again. “Speck? Sprout?”
Feng got up, and a wave of blue flames moved over his body. He was dried in seconds. That left Olly as the damp one.
“You guys chat. I am hungry.” She took a few steps, but Benjiro grabbed her hand.
“I brought you out; I will bring you back.” He led her back toward the house.
She shivered and walked with him. She swallowed when they got to the house and sneezed. Benjiro sighed. “Some alphas are better at care than others.”
She blinked. “I am going to take a shower and change.”
Nari nodded and helped her find her way to her room.

Feng looked at Minoru. “Where is Olly?”
“She got a chill, so she is taking a hot shower and will join us when she is feeling up to it.”
Polly grimaced. “How is it that she is the only one who got wet?” She piled a selection of sushi and grilled eel on her plate.
Feng said, “She was sitting on my lap, and there was a small raincloud over us.”
“And you are dry, and she is wet?”
“My dragon dried me off.”
