“What the fuck have you done to my sister?” Reuben roared.
Xavier sighed.
Double barnacles.
“What the hell is going on in here?” Brick grumbled as he walked in, looking all sexily mussed. Apparently, he was dealing with his accounts today, which seemed to put him in a grumpy mood. “I could hear yelling from outside the room.” He looked over at Juliet. “Duchess, I need you to come downstairs and suck my cock while I work to put me in a better mood.”

Brick sat on the sofa in Juliet’s playroom with a sigh.
Juliet was curled up in his lap like a tiny kitten while Xavier sat across from him in the punishment chair.
“The bastard fired me.” He was still in a bit of shock over the call with Reuben that he’d interrupted.
“Well, you did ask your client to suck your cock,” Xavier said.
“She’s not my client! She’s my baby girl.”
Juliet smiled up at him.
“And you started dating her while you worked for him,” Xavier added.
“No one likes someone who’s so logical all the time,” Brick grumbled.
Juliet and Xavier shared a look.
“I saw that,” he told them. “He hates me.”
No one said anything to that.
“If it makes you feel any better, he’s not fond of me either,” Xavier told him.
“But you have a tie to him. Unlike me. I’m just the guy who violated his sister.”
Juliet made a noise of protest.
“I know, Duchess. But that seems to be how he sees it.” Jesus, the threats he’d made. Brick could feel his balls shriveling up inside him. He was going to have nightmares over those threats.
“Good news is that he said he can’t come visit for another week,” Xavier pointed out. “Bad news is that he doesn’t have to be here to make our lives a misery.”
“I’m going to call him later when he’s calmed down,” Juliet whispered. “I’ll make him see sense.”
Xavier still looked pensive.
“On the positive side, at least the danger is gone,” he told her, trying to cheer her up. “Your brother is safe. You’re safe. Elias and Sterling can leave. Your life can get back to normal. I think if Elias and Sterling want to leave tonight, I’ll go with them.”
For some reason, she stiffened in his hold, looking completely stricken.
“Duchess? What’s wrong?”
“You’re going to leave,” she croaked.
“What?” He looked down at her in shock.
“You’re gonna leave me. You were only here for the job.”
