“Papa, feels so good.”

“Tastes good too.” He picked up a strawberry and bit it in half before rubbing the other half over her nipple. Then he sucked up the juice.

That was so incredibly arousing.

“More, Papa. More.”

“You’re still hungry?” he asked.

“Not for food.”

“Unfortunately, my girl, all you’re getting today is food.”

What? What kind of mean joke was that? She glared up at him. But he ignored her scowl and fixed her dress, covering her up.

“Papa, you’re mean.” She pouted.

He tapped her lip. “None of that now, brat. Or you’ll be back in the corner.”

Really mean.

“Now isn’t the time, okay? But soon.”

Fine.

His phone rang and he reached over to grab it, frowning when he looked at the screen.

“Who is it?” she asked.

“My mother.”

“You don’t want to take it?”

“No. She refuses to talk about the lump or biopsy. I just . . . I’m nearly ready to wipe my hands clean of them both.”

“Oh, Papa. Don’t do that.” She clasped hold of his face between her hands. “I know you’re upset, but if you cut them off then you might come to regret it later. You don’t get another set of parents. I know they have their issues, but just think about it first.”

“I’m not making a rash decision. I promise, I’ll think about it. You’re a good person, Juliet.”

“So are you.” She kissed him. “Even if you won’t let me come.”

“It’s good for you. Builds character.”

If looks could kill, he’d be ash.
