Easton is brooding when I throw my arm around his neck, pulling him in and giving him a wet kiss on the cheek. “I let you win,” he mumbles.

“You did not!” I push him away, sitting next to Nixon who’s frowning at his crotch. “What’s wrong?” My eyebrows dip.

“Apparently you manhandling other men turns me on.”

I laugh, turning my attention to the ring as Ezra and Everett go hard against each other. Pounding of flesh. Cracking of skin. I wince when Ezra sends a crescent kick to Everett's head, and he fumbles down to the mat. Blood leaks out from the cut above his eye and he wipes it away. “Good one, cousin,” he praises, and Ezra smiles like she was just given a piece of candy for doing her homework. It ends with Ezra tapping out mere seconds before Everett snaps her arm in half.

“Nixon and Jasmine, you’re up.” They climb in and when Nixon advances on her, she shrieks, running out of the ring. “Jasmine!” Justin growls.

“He is the bone crusher!” she exclaims.

Justin sighs, sending her to go work with Sylas, Justin’s right-hand man and our other trainer. Although it is special for him to be here because he rarely is.

I move on to weapon training, where dummies are lined up against a wall. “Why can’t we ever have live participants?” Ezra groans, and we all laugh, grabbing our weapons.
