His lips brush against mine, and he lets out a low groan. “You’re running out of time, little bird.”

Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. His breath mingles with mine as he presses me into his body. The place that I once considered my safest, most sacred place. My home.

My everything.

I press my lips to his, wrapping my arms around his neck. But after a moment, he pulls away.

“No. Say it.” His eyes are hard, his lips pressed into a thin line.

“I’ll give you a chance,” I whisper.

Those words seem to unlock something inside him. His hand wraps around the back of my neck as his mouth descends on mine.

This kiss is different from the ones last night. It’s hungrier, more unhinged. As he thrusts his tongue into my mouth, I realize how much he was holding back.

And then his hands are on my ass, and my feet lift off the ground. Instinctively, I wrap my legs around his waist and kiss him harder, lightly biting his bottom lip. He lets out something between a moan and a growl, slamming my back against the lamppost.

“Do you remember the last time I saw you in this hoodie?” he says after pulling away ever so slightly.

“A party at your parent’s house, outside by the fire. You let me wear it because I was cold.”

“And then what?” His voice is rough, his fingers digging into my ass cheeks so hard I wonder if I’ll have bruises there tomorrow.

“You kept me outside until everyone left. On your lap. You kept leaving little kisses on my neck.” I shudder as he does so now, his lips shooting sparks under my skin.

“And then I fucked you in the grass next to the dying embers. You looked entirely too adorable in this hoodie. I needed to ruin you.” A hand slides under the soft fabric, gripping my waist.

I run my fingers through his hair and kiss him fiercely. There’s no way I can fight the want—the need—building up inside me right now. I’ll get it under control later.

“You can’t wear this hoodie and expect me to not tear it off of you.” His hand slides up further, cupping my breast as his thumb runs across my nipple.

“Alexander,” I gasp. “We’re in public.”

It may be the middle of the night, but someone could still drive by. And a few houses still have some lights on.

“That makes you wet, doesn’t it?”

I squirm in his arms. He’s right and he knows it. But still—what if we get caught? What if I can’t control my screams?

His hand slips out from underneath my shirt and holds me closer. And then we’re moving, into the park and under the cover of a few trees. He sets me on a picnic table, not wasting any time before yanking the hoodie over my head.

The cool air hits my skin, and I shiver at the absence of the fabric keeping me warm. He moves to pull off my shorts and underwear, but then stops.

A hand cups my chin, and I look up at him. He leans down and kisses me, and this time it’s not hungry or fierce. It’s slow, patient. Like he has all the time in the world to explore me.

And maybe he does.

Fingers slide down my spine, then back up again, before gripping the hair at the back of my head. He holds me still while his lips move against mine and his tongue runs across my bottom lip.

I try to move my head up to kiss him harder, but his grip on my hair tightens as he holds me in place.

“Not yet, little bird.” His breath on my face is warm, and I let out a small whimper. I can feel myself aching for him, needing him.

But he continues his slow exploration, planting kisses on my cheeks, my nose, my jaw. Finally, he reaches my neck and sucks lightly, tilting my head back to give him more room.

“You’re perfect,” he mumbles against my skin. His kisses fall onto my shoulders and collarbone. “A goddess.”

He sucks the spot between my breasts, and I groan, arching my back. One of my hands slides in between my legs, but he slaps it away.
