I expect him to head into the house by way of the front door, but instead, he turns to his right and leads me around the side toward the backyard.

“What the…?” I trail off once my eyes take in what's in front of me. “How did you do all of this? You were with me most of the afternoon.” My eyes take in the lights hanging from the trees, the pillows and blankets on the grass, and a white sheet hanging between two branches.

“My brother does have a soft side every once in a while,” he says.

I smile, looking up at him and wondering where he came from.

“Come on, I had him put some food in the oven for me, so let me grab it and bring it out.”

I watch as he makes his way in through the back door and toward the kitchen, and I spend a moment taking in everything around me. It’s so peacefulhere that I wonder if he even has neighbors. I don’t remember seeing any houses on our way in, but let's be honest, I wasn't really paying attention.

“Here we go,” he says, setting down a plate of macaroni and cheese (not the box kind but the real kind), biscuits, and Cesar salad. “I hope you like it.”

I burst out laughing as we sit on the blanket set out on the grass.“Are you kidding? Who doesn’t love macaroni and cheese?” I question, not understanding those kinds of people.

“Good, let's dig in.”

I smile, reaching for a plate and loading up on everything. We spend the next hour sitting, talking, and eating to the point of bursting. It's the best first date I’ve ever had.

I’m tryingto concentrate on the movie playing in front of us. Wes’s fingers are tracing patterns on the exposed skin between my shirt and jeans and the longer his fingers brush against me, the more turned on I become.

“You okay?” he whispers, lightly kissing my temple.

As I lean my head back, our eyes lock, and I know I won't leave here without kissing him. I can't.“I’m good,” I whisper, my eyes never leaving his.

His hand grabs my hip firmly, and he brings me even closer.“Please tell me you're feeling this because, Angel, I don't know if I can last much longer.”

I smirk, leaning onto my elbow to place my lips against his. It only takes a second for us to go from zero to sixty. Wes takes all the control and rolls us, his body settling on top of me while his mouth takes mine in a punishing kiss that leaves me breathless.

“Wes,” I whisper, not really knowing what I'm trying to convey.

My hips rise, needing the friction, and he chuckles against my lips and begins to kiss down my neck.

“I know what you need, Angel, but I need my dessert first.” His eyes meet mine with a wink, and before I know it, my jeans are undone and being pulled down my legs.

The hunger in his eyes as he gazes upon my sex causes a flutter in my stomach, and for the first time in a long time, I feel sexy. For the first time in a long time, I love the way a man is looking at my body, and it's fucking empowering.

“Jesus, your mouth is insane,” I mutter under my breath as he nips at my sex.

That tongue of his knows exactly what to do to cause every nerve in my body to go into overdrive. I hear the rip of my panties before I feel it, and to be honest, it turns me on even more to know how far gone he is as he eats me out.

My fingers lace themselves between the loose strands of his hair, pulling him closer to where I need him most, and within seconds, my back arches, and I'm coming harder than I have in days.

“Fuck, Quinn, those sounds that come out of your mouth should come with a warning. A man could get lost in you.”

His words don't penetrate the fog in my brain until he's kissing up my torso and finally settling between my legs. I smile up at him, loving the utter pleasure that stares back at me. I wrap my legs around his waist and pull his hips back down toward my heat.

“I think you're wearing too many clothes, Mr. Hunt,” I say with a smirk.

For a second, I think he's going to say something sarcastic, but he just leans down and takes my mouth in a soft kiss.“Let me take you inside and do this properly...the way you deserve.”

As much as I love him for considering what he thinks I need, I couldn’t move from this spot if a meteor was falling toward Earth.

So I shake my head, pulling him harder as his eyes widen.“Wes, this is perfect. Right here, surrounded by the date you created, is more than perfect. I don't need a bed. To be honest, I don't even need this,” I tease, motioning to the pillows and blankets around us. “All I need is you and maybe that cock of yours.”

His smile fades, replaced by a burning hunger. , My breath catches, wanting this side of Wes. I love the sweet and caring side, but the dominant, controlling side I've seen a few times over the past few weeks is like a drug.

“I was going to give you sweet and soft tonight, Angel, but that's not what you want, is it?”
