“You two planning to take us Royal Bastards down with you? We’ve not survived this long without a plan. Asphalt Gods are not some thugs on the street. They’re all over and will want their vengeance unless we do it right.” I didn’t want to remind him they were enacting their revenge when they crucified his sister in the first place. “Levi, the plan’s up to you. You bring me a plan, fuck, you even sit down with me to figure it out, we’re your brothers, we’ll kill them all.”

Leviathan wasn’t finished. “Hallow’s not married that God yet.”

Hallow barked, “Eve’s not our enemy. I’ll marry her when we planned to and not a moment sooner.”

I blew out a breath, trying to not lose my temper. “Back to my blood brother. I’m not killing Bubba. Not yet, anyhow. But he’s fucked with me for the last time.”

My boys groaned.

“I’m serious,” I yelled. “I put up with too much disrespect around here.”

Pagan laughed. Going to him, I slapped his arm, where he was healing. That shut him up. “Take Pagan, here. ‘Bout lost us one hundred grand because he didn’t want his sister to fuck anyone.”

I eyed Irish over with the noobs, smirking.

“His side hoe burned down Royal Road and brother thinks he can laugh at his President. He took money out of all our pockets. Hell, boys in the city needed that money too. We’re losing fighters. They have nowhere to fight. Had to send Snare down to New Orleans. Some of y’all have mouths to feed. Don’t ya?”

The men agreed. They loved me laying into Pagan who often was the bane of their existence.

I spoke to Pagan, “I ought to make Irish my VP. That’d really piss you off. You’re about worthless right now as you are. Fucking Freddy Kruger over here, and it’s your own damned fault. Riff,” I called. “Acting VP.” I made Riff my second temporarily, knowing it’d tear Pagan up.

“Pagan, you get your house in order. Fucking Kara, fucking Jassica, I don’t give a fuck. You’ve got until your healed to figure it out.” I didn’t usually get in a brother’s personal life, in their private bedrooms unless it harmed the club. Pagan had caused enough problems because of his woman troubles. “Levi. Your woman’s been a handful since you been gone. You need to decide if you’re going to stay with that bitch. I know you all have three kids together, but you can’t run off and leave the rest of us to deal with her. Shit or get off the pot.

The rest of you better be on your best behavior. Bubba’s done pissed me off. I want intel. I want dirt. I want to take him down. Again, no killing. Not yet. Maiming, okay. Not his face. He’s still of some use to us. Opry, secure a payment for the use of Royal Road for that damn video.”

“It’s not for a while now. He’s shooting another one first,” Opry said.

“I know. Thanks for the intel, Jackass. Bubba so much as sees Maddie Mae Wynburn, I want someone, one of you in the way. Interrupt them at all costs. I don’t want them to go through a drive through to order a French fry without a motorcycle following them. Understand? Tomorrow Bubba’s taking Maddie to some star on the sidewalk, hand in concrete bullshit. I want you to ruin their time. I don’t want to be involved, but I expect a full report. No colors. I don’t want to be blamed. I want pictures. I want my brother humiliated. Riff, you’re in charge of this.” Since I made him a temp VP, he’d do an excellent job since he’d be wanting to take the job from Pagan. I’d never let that happen, but he didn’t need to know it.

The next day as Goliath and I played a game of pool, Riff brought me a report. My boys showed up to my brother’s thing and scared everyone off. He handed me pictures. One showed Bubba’s convertible full of concrete. I hadn’t asked them to go that far but was pleased.

“No colors?”

“We didn’t wear our cuts,” Riff assured me.

“Good.”

Maddie called my phone within the hour. I hadn’t even given her my number. Bubba had to have given it to her. I didn’t answer. I was biding my time until she came to me.

She texted me, “I can’t believe you sicked those bikers on us.”

“Who dis?” I fucked with her.

“Maddie!!!”

“Bikers?”

“You know what I’m talking about. Bikers ruined Beau’s whole ceremony.”

“Did you see them wearing my logo, Royal Bastards MC?”

“No, but it had to be you. Beau said.”

“Not me, love. Beau must have some enemies. His security must be SHIT. Tell him if he needs protection to give me a call.”

“You really didn’t do that?”

“Why would I? U R coming here Monday, right. Why would I mess that up?”
