"I care. I like my privacy."

"Don't worry." I skate my fingers across her cheek. "We can be quiet."

"Not sure I can manage it. Not with you driving me out of my mind."

I move my hand in lazy circles on her back, bending my head to skim my lips over hers. "Trust me, I can make certain no one hears your screams."

"No gags, please."

I shake my head slowly. "No gags. I wouldn't do anything like that to you. But I will swallow your screams with my mouth on yours."

"That sounds…good." She eyes me with a touch of suspicion. "But you can't cover my mouth the whole time. How else do you plan on keeping anyone from hearing us?"

"You'll see."

Releasing her hand, I wrap both arms around Calli and lift her onto her toes. I seal my lips over hers, exploring with light sweeps that grow firmer the more I kiss her. She flings her arms around my neck and thrusts her tongue between my lips, moaning deeply. I coil my tongue around hers while letting out a moan of my own. A manly moan, of course.

I pull back, frowning, because an unpleasant thought has occurred to me. "I brought my sister here to keep her out of trouble. And what happened? The minute she arrived, she found an American man to captivate."

"Poor Aidan." Calli feathers her fingers over my cheek. "You can't catch a break, can you?"

Cannae help the devious gleam I'm sure twinkles in my eyes. I run my tongue across her lips. "After a day with your brother and my sister, I will be needing some physical therapy." I drop one hand to cup her erse. "A lot of it, in fact."

"Here to serve."

As we begin to kiss again, I let myself imagine that one day soon I will be married to this woman.

Chapter Twenty-Five

I collapse onto the bed on my back, right on top of the covers, with my arms spread wide and my head on one of the pillows. Eyes closed, I groan. "No one should have that much energy, bouncing around like a little bird. It's no wonder your dogs love Jamie, she's as energetic as they are."

Calli sits on the bed's edge, with my hand near her hip, and pats my chest. "Oh, poor Aidan. You have a sweet, happy sister who adores you. Must be awful."

"Hmm." I crack one lid open to peek at her. "Thought I'd get more sympathy from you. After all, your brother was turning you into a bampot."

"You called me that in the club. It means crazy?"

I nod. "You're not literally insane, but sometimes you act like it when you're stressed."

"I don't mind if Gavin makes me a little crazy. I'm glad to see him having a good time. After the way his wife left him, I didn't know if he'd ever show interest in a woman again."

Her statement piques my curiosity, and I lift my head. "What did his wife do?"

She grimaces. "Sorry, that shouldn't have slipped out. I doubt Gavin would want me telling you the story, but I'm wiped out and my brain filter isn't working properly."

I drop my head onto the mattress with a grunt. "I'll have to ask your brother."

"You wouldn't."

"No?" I roll my head to the side, giving her a mischievous smile. "Maybe I would. Or you could tell me, and I'll keep it a secret so he'll never know I know."

"Oh, you are wicked. Devious and canny, in bed and out."

I walk my fingers up her hip. "I'm in bed at the moment."

"So you are." She crawls on top of me on all fours, her hair feathering around her face. "Wouldn't you rather have sex than hear about my brother's failed marriage?"

Aye, normally I would. But I rub my eyes with my thumb and forefinger and say, "At the moment, no. I'm exhausted from spending an entire day with Jamie and Gavin. Siblings are a right trial."
